This place USED to be great. They had a gluten free menu and tons of options. They changed their menu though and now it is the same as any generic Mexican restaurant - there are gluten free options, but you have to ask the server what is gluten free and trust that they know.

Austin Grill is fabulous. We live in Texas and cannot find restaurants that make gluten free enchiladas. Here there were TWO options! My daughter is also a vegetarian and this place had options for vegetarian gluten free eating. We highly recommend this adorable eatery.

This restaurant was fabulous for great food, service, and gluten free options. Our server was very informed and knew all about which options were gluten free. He was very careful and attentive to our needs. The chips, rice, beans, and more were all gluten free which was a bonus that many Mexican restaurants don't have. Be prepared for $15 meals, but I would definitely recommend this to anyone who wants a Mexican restaurant with lots of options!

No more gluten-free menu, although GF items are clearly marked on the regular menu.
My son is Celiac. Before we sat down I checked with the hostess regarding the separate GF fryer. I was told that there was one. We asked if the fries could be made GF in the fryer and were told yes.
My son ordered a GF taco and fries. The server came back and told us the fries couldn't be GF (and after seeing them I imagine it's the spices).
When his taco arrived he took one bite and told me his taco wasn't GF. Sure enough it had been made with a flour tortilla.
To add insult to injury my other son's hot dog was totally burned-and we had to send it back too.
This was an epic meal fail for us.

They do have two fryers, the manager said. One for GF where they cook their chips. They have another for other items. We enjoyed our meal and had no problems. The staff was knowledgable, and the manager came out to introduce himself, and make sure we were all good. We recommend.
First, the fryer (for chips) is no longer Celiac friendly as indicated in the previous review. They used to have a GF menu, but now do not, but can accommodate. Therefore, my daughter was unable to eat the chips and salsa they bring to the table. However, our waitress was the sweetest and felt for her, bringing her carrots and ranch. My daughter had a corn tortilla taco with the white rice and black beans. She topped her dinner off with cherry blossom ice cream that was delish. Overall, food was okay. The waitress was fantastic and answered all my questions.
