Our family of 6 had dinner tonight at the McLeod location and the food was great. Our granddaughter is high celiac and she had the cheese sticks and we also ordered a full New York pizza, a 1/2 New York and a 1/2 cheese I had the chicken fingers. Everyone’s food was wonderful. Many thanks for a tasty meal and wonderful service. We will most definitely be back and will be doing take out a lot

Truly unbelievable - I come to Calgary often and this is a highlight every time for a person with celiac disease or without. My whole family loves it!

We loved our meal here! Our daughter with celiac never goes out to eat because she is so nervous about getting glutened at shared restaurants. She was so excited to order whatever she wanted here. We let her! 😊. The food was great and no anxiety about gluten = terrific first day of vacation. After eating, our daughter said: it didn’t look or taste gluten free, but I don’t feel sick at all!!!The owner has celiac disease and gets it. And, she was so kind! Too bad we live a 26 hour car drive away. Make a detour from the airport and get this food if you are traveling. Now we won’t have to cook for 2 days on vacation. Hooray!

Had a great experience at the location in the NW. This pizza establishment is 100% gluten free so I felt safe eating there. I ordered the Maui and the champagne cheesecake and it was excellent. My husband had the T-rex and he enjoyed his as well. He has a nut allergy and I let them know when I ordered. Of their own volition they took extra precautions for him to make sure there was no cross contact. It was really nice that for once I was able to order anything with no special explanations (I still asked the questions). I will be going back here before I leave Calgary!

Avatara NW was so good I made a point to come back before my visit to Calgary was done. I had the Aristotle with the addition of Chicken and the Champagne Cheesecake. It was excellent! My husband who is not celiac but does have a nut allergy had the Trex and Tiramisu. They took his allergy seriously and made sure there was no cross contact. He thoroughly enjoyed his food and couldn't remember the last time he had pizza that good. All of the food in the restaurant is gluten free so it is nice to have unlimiited options! Because I am asymptomatic celiac I cannot say whether I was glutened or not but I feel very comfortable and confident with the food preparation and meal I was served. The service was above and beyond. I will be back next time I'm in Calgary :)

Such a great little place! Super welcoming and very friendly... amazing gluten free pizza, cheesy bread sticks and chicken strips! It was so nice to go somewhere and eat that I didn't have to do a bunch of celiac research! I've been celiac for 8 years and this was the first time I didn't have anxiety going to a new place to eat! We had the best and most delicious GF food at Avatara. It was the first time our family has been able to go out and enjoy/share food without any concern. Pizza was great, but so were the non-pizza GF options!

It’s so refreshing to be able to eat restaurant pizza and not have to worry about cross contamination. Plus, it was delicious! You wouldn’t know that the rust was gluten-free. The staff were very attentive and friendly.

Wonderful spot. Great service. Dedicated GF and lots of DF/vegan options too. Had pizza and chocolate cake. Very very good. My family couldn’t even tell it was GF. I just hope I have enough leftovers for supper (or that they last until supper…). Will be back next time I’m in YYC for sure.

Gluten free or not best pizza we’ve ever had! Fully gluten free and fantastic quality. As a paranoid celiac there is very few places I will go to but this place made me feel so safe!Totally worth it. Everything is GF. Many options for DF and vegan as well. So many unique flavours! Great service. I did take out and it was a bit of a drive so the pizza wasn't piping hot but I'm sure the crust will taste even better when it is fresh. Glad to know of a dedicated GF pizza place!

Really enjoyed their pizzas. Their crust didn't flop over when you lift out if the box. I would suggest eating it quickly after you get it because otherwise the steam from the box makes it a little soggy. Also tastes great second day after heating it up in a toaster oven. We also got the cheesecake but I would not say it was anything special. It didn't have a strong cream cheese taste and was a little too sweet.
