Every since they reopened they must have changed their approach to gluten free. We called ahead and was told most anything could be made gf. When we got there, they told us that nothing was gluten free and they had no way to know if anything was gluten free on the menu. After questioning our waiter on menu items he told us the sauce on the walnut shrimp was gluten free and the dish was not breaded or fried. It came out breaded and fried and he told us that he didn't hear us ask. He later told us that it use to be but is no longer gf. Really weird experience in all and ended up with fluffy egg shrimp. If you are gluten intolerant, i would avoid the reopened Bamboo House. We both felt horrible after eating here as well. Restaurant was not clean either, very disappointing.
— Not at all
— No gluten-free information on the menu
— Not Much/None
— Poor
I questioned whether I would be okay with this restaurant as Chinese food can be difficult. I am happy to say, Bamboo House is on the rotation! It has been years since I had Hot and Sour soup! Also the shrimp with lobster sauce and chicken with mixed vegetables were very good. Generous portions and the shrimp were plump and juicy. I have Celiac and am sensitive, no reaction at all.
