Review of Bar 10

Gluten free items are marked on the menu. I noticed that the clam chowder was marked gluten free and asked the server if it was broth based - he immediately understood the question and explained that it is cream-based and they use rice flour as the thickener and for gluten free patrons they just leave off the crackers. I ordered a bowl immediately and was served the best clam chowder I have ever had (outside of my own kitchen anyway). Not broth-based and over-peppered like the crap Legal Seafood serves. It was creamy and rich and full of clams. Could have maybe used a little bacon, but that is really more a personal preference.Knocked off a star because if they have GF bread for their sandwiches (which they should since the breakfast restaurant in the same hotel that probably shares the same kitchen has GF toast) they did not mark it on the menu. I know I could have asked, but I was too busy with my chowder.
