Had a great experience here - clearly indicated I had celiac upfront, but they patiently confirmed that all items could be made gluten free and answered my specific ingredients (eg dressing).
If you want an Acia bowl then visiting this place is a must. if you have celiac just make sure you tell them and they will switch out the granola for certified gluten free. Also I recommend sharing the acai bowls because they're freaking huge. Lastly, they use fresh fruit in the acai is extremely refreshing unlike any other bowl I've had on the island or anywhere else for that matter 10 of 10 yes yes yes.
Very aware of gluten allergy/sensitivity. Most of the menu is gluten free.
Delicious food and great people who make excellent GF dishes.

The Açaí bowls were so good. The staff were extremely knowledgeable about Celiac and had no problems at all. Highly recommended!

This place is great. The owner is so sweet, we ate here 3 times but will probably go again before we leave. The crepes are AMAZING. The pesto crepe is phenomenal and their sweet crepes are good too. Also try the acai bowl, they have two granola one is certified gf so specify gf. No reactions and great food. Service is a bit slow because everything is made to order. Well worth it.

Amazing food. The crepes, pancakes, açaí bowls, coffee all were so good and each one was hand crafted. They were almost too pretty to eat. The staff is also some of the kindest people - can not recommend this place enough.

Staff was celiac savvy and ready and willing to check on any ingredient and food prep issues we raised. Food was delicious, especially the Valentino açaí bowl and Alfredo crepe we had. They could also make burritos with the gluten free crepe in place of tortilla.

So so happy to have found Barefoot zone in Kona! Excellent gluten free crepe (the only crepe they offer is gf!) and lots of healthy options. Felt super safe and happy eating here.
However, if you have Any allergies, make sure to advocate for yourself accordingly. They advertise being dairy free (because they have dairy free alternatives), but when my husband ordered a savory crepe, we found cheese in it when it was not mentioned in the menu, and he has a dairy sensitivity.

Delicious pesto veggie crepe and lilikoi (passion fruit) drink. Amazing food. So satisfying and GF.
The staff is well educated. The food was delicious.
This place is a god send! Amazingly fresh and delicious. I told them I had celiac while ordering and they put in an extra note and I didn’t have any problems. I split 1 savory and 1 sweet crepe with my non gluten free boyfriend and we both loved them! My only regret is that I couldn’t try more on the menu. Ps call and check the hours!

As others have stated, be aware of GF options vs. non GF which are designated on the menu. My breakfast crape was good, stole some of my son’s Nutella dessert crape which I think is about as tasty a crape as could be made. Good presentation, if that makes a difference. My wife enjoyed her sandwich.
They had a number of GF breakfast crapes and dessert crape options. Lots of fresh fruit drinks, smoothies, and fancy fruit bowl options etc...

Designated crepe makers here, however, this cafe is NOT 100% GF, as some believe. Prior to my arrival, I messaged owner directly to ask if cafe was 100% GF. She responded that it was; however, it was not until after I was sick and I contacted her again that she said that vegan options are NOT GF. Make sure to clarify during ordering and before eating that ONLY GF ingredients and kitchen space is used to prepare food.
On a positive note: Food is cooked to order, healthy and delicious. The owner was flexible by messaging me when her cafe reopened, after we came when they were suffering from a mechanical problem in their kitchen.
Had the super bowl and it was amazing, a little worried as it comes in a coconut dish and with a wooden spoon since wood is so porous and not really safe but they do have to go containers so I will be getting mine in that when I go back because I will definitely go back. The presentation and taste of the bowl was amazing.

Sweetest little place for food and staff! We didn’t look at hours and arrived at 9am when they open at 10:30am on Fridays. The owner opened the door, invited us in, and mad us the most delicious, beautiful açaí bowl ever. Big enough to share! We were so thrilled with food, service, and her company we took the family back later that day for some savory crepes. Amazing! Everything gf and wonderful. Large portions so share b

It is definitely a celiac friendly place, but would not reccomend buying the savory crepes. I ordered a chicken alfredo crepe, which tasted like curry. My daughter orederd a turkey and vegatable crepe, which was filled which ingredients that weren't listed. If I were to come back, I would probaly order a sweet crepe or an acai bowl
Yes
We really enjoyed our GF crepes and acai bowls. Service was a little slow but they make each item to order so you have to expect that. A few tables outside made for a great meal.
The food was great. As others have said, their GF crepes are excellent. My husband and I also shared an acai bowl, which was also delicious. The woman working at the counter let me look at the packaging of certain things. (i.e. the granola, the coconut) in order to see whether they were safe to add to the acai bowl. As a heads up, the granola they use states on the packaging that it's manufactured in place that also processes wheat, so, to be safe, you should avoid that as a topping on the bowls. Overall, the staff appeared to be very aware of dietary restrictions, and went out of their way to make sure that I felt comfortable eating there. The best part is that post-eating there, I felt great (which is always the true test of how celiac-friendly a place actually is).

Amazing healthy delicious food!! very friendly owners and staff! I'm glad we found this place on only day 2 of our vacation so we can come back many times before we leave!!
This restaurant offers entirely gluten free crepes, with a variety of sweet, tropical and flavorful savory crepes. They also make acai bowls and sell delicious gelato (that you can put on your crepe if you want). Staff are super friendly and concerned about any dietary restrictions that you may have. Great little find.

Sweet and savory crepes that are all GF. Also gelato. Owners were very friendly and asked about dairy as well. They also use all compostable dishes and utensils. A fantastic find!!
