Being able to spontaneously stop for fish and chips during a coastal drive is...a big deal.

Confirmed dedicated fryer. Had dairy free option for gf fish + chips. It’s been 24hrs and I’m feeling good! I’m very confident that there was no cross contamination as I’m very sensitive + have very specific gluten symptoms.

I am a celiac and my daughter is gluten sensitive. We both ate there Aug 26 as take out. We both had GF fish & chips and both had issues sorry to say.

Great gluten free menu. Friendly owner, felt confident that food was safe. We had the fish and chips and chowder. Was pretty good and one of the few places I felt safe eating at on the coast. We will be back!

Great staff, very friendly food is excellent. And they offer a military discount. THANK YOU. Their ice cream servings are large & amazing and GF cones! Some of the food could use more seasoning (salt) but as someone else said I would rather have to add my own than have it be too salty.

Fantastic gluten free food!!! This is the second time I’ve eaten here while driving along the coast and it’s definitely worth a stop!

Had 2-piece cod with fries. Really good! Also had a bowl of clam chowder. It too was very good. Needed salt but I appreciated adding my own so I can control my sodium intake. The battered cod was light and crispy, not like dough and no fish. Great portions. Fries appeared to be cut in-house. Options of seasonings and I chose sea salt. Definitely worth the trip. Cons are little to nil seating but that didn’t stop us. It’s a tad spendy so go prepared. Just remember you’re not going to MickeyD’s for a Friday Fish Special. For a celiac patient this was like going to Disneyland.

GLUTEN FREE ICE CREAM CONES! Also, they have black licorice ice cream which was a huge treat for me. Fish and chips and fries were great. Husband enjoyed his non GF meal too. Great staff

**Ice cream is NOT celiac safe!!*** We came here to enjoy a gluten free ice cream cone. My son is 6 and has celiac disease and he really misses being able to go out for ice cream. I called ahead of time to make sure they had gluten free cones, which they said they did. We all were very excited just to arrive and find out ALL the ice cream served is made by brands that use gluten fillers and cross contaminate. Needless to say, I have a very sad and disappointed 6 year old.

I've been here several times since moving to the Oregon coast and I'm impressed every time! I've never gotten sick. Food does take some time and seating is limited but worth every penny. GF clam chowder is DELICOUS. Fish and fries are very good, hearty portions. Onion rings were perfect!

Had lunch there today. Both my sister and I are Celiac. Upon entering we were asked if we were Gluten Intolerant. From that point on, they were extremely careful with our order, explaining their menu and knowledge of being GF and very polite. The food was excellent. They have Gluten Free Clam Chowder even! Highly recommended if you are on the Oregon Coast.

Road tripping from Portland down to LA. Stopped in the town of Depoe. Saw gluten free clam chowder advertised at Baywalk Cafe and had to stop in for a bowl. The owners grandson has an anaphylactic allergy to gluten and she prepares all the food herself. She is AWESOME! The clam chowder was delicious as well as the fresh strawberry lemonade. My girlfriend is celiac and she enjoyed her bowl of chowder immensely! Thanks Baywalk!

Excellent fish and chips cooked in a separate fryer. My spouse had the gluten version and liked my batter coating better. There were also some pastries and cookies, though we didn’t try any. The woman at the counter was quite knowledgeable about celiac disease.

Delicious gf fish and chips in a fun, unique little shop on the Main Street in Depoe Bay. We drove down here from Lincoln City after reading the reviews and weren’t disappointed! We had to wait awhile for the food but it was totally worth it knowing I wouldn’t be contaminated!

I’ve tried this place twice in the last 2 years. They have weird hours, and the chowder tastes like paste with sight clam flavor. I really wanted to like these guys (hence trying them twice) but ended up with a stomach ache after eating there both times (not from gluten) 🤢 I won’t go back

IMPORTANT NOTE: Hours say opens at 11am, but we came by on a Saturday in peak season August and were told the chef doesn’t arrive until 1pm. They only serve coffee, clam chowder & ice cream until then. Bummer, since we had made a trip there specifically. 🙁

Excellent gf batter on the fish and chips. They offer gf clam chowder and French fries. They also have a dedicated fryer that is also soy free. Very knowledgeable staff who is happy to help.

The food from the dedicated fryer was bland and old tasting. The chowder was decent. They have gluten free cones but the ice cream is also dipped into regular cones so definitely cross contaminated. Staff was very personable and friendly. Very small, 3 table joint. We wouldn’t drive out if our way to go back and are opting to hit the grocery and pack sack lunches for tomorrow rather than return.
