I’ve eaten here twice for dinner since my celiac diagnosis and felt the waiters were very knowledgeable and helpful in pointing me toward safe options. They also assured me the chef would cook my meal separately.

That said, I came for lunch another time and the waiter that day didn’t seem to know what celiac was or what menu items contained gluten, and asked if something with milk would be okay for me. Didn’t give a lot of confidence in the thoroughness of staff training, and I think I got sick after that lunch.

Proceed with caution as not all the waiters are familiar with gluten.

Love this restaurant. No GF menu but the servers are always very knowledgeable and helpful with the GF options. They have GF pasta options and several other GF choices. I have celiac disease and not had any reaction when eating here.

GF items were not marked on the menu but the server was knowledgeable and and offered that they could make the chicken in a pan so it is safe. She also said they could make gluten free pasta in separate, clean water. I had the arugula salad, without blue cheese, with chicken on the side.

One of my absolute favorite spots in Benicia. Items are not marked on the menu but accommodations can be made and staff is very aware of Celiac/gluten allergies. The arugula salad with chicken is my go-to but they do make gluten free pasta in separate water as well. There are gluten free dessert options and majority of cocktails are safe as well! If you’re in the area this restaurant is a must.

I ended up being able to have several options, but our waiter also thought that cream would be problematic so I worried about whether he really knew what he was talking about. I was relieved when another waiter brought out my main course and said the chef had checked everything and this was really GF (I ordered a daily special with tuna and polenta). I felt fine after but wouldn't say this is especially celiac friendly!
