Got the stuffed shrimp with tropical shrimp salad and asparagus (veggie of the day).
Did not react!
They were super chill and were respectful of being GF.

They were so blasé/annoyed but affirmative about being able to cater to GF needs that we couldn't tell if it was reassuring or concerning. Didn't get sick, so decided it must've been alright and went back a second day for a cheaper 2nd meal.

It was okay. No separate fryer. Waitress wasn’t that knowledgeable but would go back and ask the kitchen for us which was great.

This was my 2nd time at Bill's, delicious both times, no reactions or symptoms. First time I ordered the Seafood Norfolk, the second time (June 2023) smothered flounder, it was very good. If these meals were not gluten free I would have known before I even left the restaurants. Thank you Bill's Prime.

Bill’s staff was very knowledgeable about celiac. The gluten free items were marked on the menu. Food was amazing. The stuffed lobster tail was one of the best I ever had. We managed to share a delicious gluten free flourless chocolate cake. Yum!

I called in a takeout order just after arriving on the island. The server was extremely thorough and seemed to have a good understanding of celiac. Our order was ready within the 20 minutes they quoted and they brought it to our car via curbside to go. Oh my goodness the food was AMAZING! I got the crab dip appetizer and the Seafood Norfolk...perfection! Seafood was cooked perfectly, so flavorful, and I have not had any celiac symptoms since consuming.

I’ve eaten here twice during my visit to Chincoteague . I would’ve eaten there a third time but unfortunately they’re closed on Wednesdays. They had good reviews here and GF items marked on the menu so I called prior to my vacation to see if they could accommodate me. I told them I have celiac/gluten allergy and they marked it when I placed my order. The kitchen does seem to follow a protocol to prevent cross contamination. I did not get sick after two nights in a row. (Tell then you have celiac/gluten allergy even when ordering GF items.)
I had the crab dip two nights in a row. It is not healthy but it is yummy. (It’s covered in cheese.) The second night I also had the broiled stuffed shrimp with the tropical shrimp salad and a baked potato. It was all really good and I would definitely dine there again if I return to Chincoteague.
(Note: they’re taking orders “to go” during the pandemic.)

I had the steamed shrimp & coleslaw. Both were great! Staff was wonderful.
The presentation was amazing, the selection was big and the staff was really friendly!! Definitely a good gluten free stop
A little bit pricey but worth it. Service and food were both great. I had the broiled stuffed shrimp and the mashed potatoes with hamhocks and cheddar (mashed potatoes were to die for!). The sides aren’t labeled as gluten free for some reason but I asked my server to check with the chef, and all the vegetable sides are gluten free except for potatoes flats because they’re cross contaminated from the fryer. Everything we got there was delicious and didn’t get sick.
Staff did not make me feel inferior because I am gluten free and have other food-related allergies as well. I highly recommend the Herb-Roasted Chicken!

Reservations are preferred. We did not make reservations therefore we shopped while waiting an hour. It was well worth it. Menu was marked well and staff was very knowledgeable. I had stuffed mushrooms, steamed shrimp, crab imperial with delicious mashed potatoes and string beans. I was to full to look at the dessert menu. No issues.
Yes
Had an excellent meal of steamed clams and broiled flounder Just be careful. The potato flats are actually French fries and they do not have a dedicated fryer. The manager was very apologetic that our server didn't tell me that and readily replaced them with asparagus. Delicious meal, though, and no reactions afterward .
Many options to choose from. I had shrimp, scallops, & crab with butter sauce. Also had red mashed potatoes with ham hock. Very good.
I had the Crab Imperial. It was by far the best meal I have had in ages. Gluten free items are clearly marked. Waitress was friendly and knowledgeable. Thank you Leslie!
