I am SPEECHLESS, this place is next level amazing. It’s so cozy, but the owner and his staff make sure that you know how well the kitchen is informed and willing to cater to you. I let him know I had celiac and a dairy allergy and he stated the kitchen is more than comfy and when I pressed (out of habit since my hometown is so horrid about celiac) he reassured me twice that all precautions are taken and that they will take care of me no problem. I crated my own dish by ordering the GF fettuccine noodles and the pistou sauce with grilled chicken and to make a run on sentence longer… WOWZA. I sighed with joy with every bite I took. The taste was incredible, if I would’ve come here our first night here, I probably would’ve eaten here every single meal! A little pricey, but well worth it. Go there. Seriously.

I was impressed with their food. I am a very sensitive Celiac and I did not get sick here. Our waiter was very knowledgeable about what was safe for Celiacs. He said any of the cast-iron entrees were safe as they cook each entree in a new and clean pan. They do have a dedicated fryer but it is right next to the regular fryer so they cannot ensure no cross contamination. The brussel sprouts and asparagus were very good. I got the Trout and it was phenomenal! I felt very safe at this restaurant.

Awesome food. Gluten free clearly marked on the menu. Great variety. Awesome fries and homemade chips. Love the grilled chicken sandwich on GF bun. Outside seating has the most amazing view and a heater from the ceiling over the table.

Speak to management when you arrive, so they can work with your server and kitchen staff.
No dedicated fryer, HOWEVER they cook fries separately in new oil on a pan.
This is one of the best places we’ve ate for my fiancés allergies. He has severe wheat, dairy and egg allergies and had no issues here! We went twice during our stay in estes park. We had different servers each time and they were both very knowledgeable. My fiancé got the meat trio and it was his favorite meal of the trip. I never liked broccoli until I tried the garlic broccolini here - it’s AMAZING! And if you can sit outside, the view is one of a kind.

I got glutened here with bunless burger and some asparagus. The food was bland and potions were small. Do not recommend.

The menu clearly marked for gluten free items. The waiter even made suggestions that the fries are in a fryer that may cross contaminate if celiac was an the case. Delicious food and great outdoor seating. The view was awesome.

Skuna Bay Salmon, and vanilla ice cream with raspberries. Not a lot of GF items in the menu, but that didn't matter. The server understood celiac and made sure the kitchen was careful to not cc. This was the best meal I have ever had in my life. My husband had the trout and said the same. Our Wild 4x4 tour guide suggested this as a farm to table restaurant. I only wish I could live here to eat this daily, or knew how to cook this. The service was slow, and they recognized it and took amazing care of us. Don't miss out on this amazing treat. I am not sure if there are a lot of kid friendly items that are GF. Worth calling.

Excellent service. Gluten free menu marked. Had the burger with everything on it including aioli with a gluten free bun and a side salad with their buttermilk ranch. Great atmosphere. Best place we’ve eaten in Estes.

Very knowledgeable about GF. Menu had many options clearly marked. They have a separate fryer and are flexible with making selections GF. I had a breakfast with a side of potatoes from the supper menu. All delicious and had no issues afterwards. We sat outdoors and had a beautiful view.

Wonderful experience here. Prices are a little on the higher side, but everything we tried was amazing. The gluten free bun was soft and was one of the best buns I've ever had. Fries are GF, but not Celiac safe. GF options are clearly marked on the menu.

Everything on the menu is labeled as gluten free and I found the food to be decent. The server we had was nice and it was nice to find something that was dairy free too!

The food (both GF and normal) was disappointing. The gluten free bun on the hamburger was toasted to oblivion and the meat was overcooked and very charred. That being said I did not get sick, the staff was very nice, and the fries were good. Definitely not worth the prices they charge though.

Menu clearly labeled GF and there were many choices, including dessert! I had the trout…holy cow, amazing!! Although fries are marked GF, there is no dedicated fryer. Many other options. My whole family was extremely pleased with the food. They even have a kid menu. Highly recommend.

Had the burger with Jack cheese and gf bun. It was decent, but somewhat plain. It needed some spices I my opinion. Husband had the bison burger and said " it was nothing to write home about". Some of his sweet potato rounds weren't cooked all the way through, probably due to the different thicknesses. Overall, not worth it for the money.

Our daughter has Celiacs, had a variety on the menu, GF fries, elk tenderloin and smoked bacon. Server was very aware of needs. If extremely sensitive, cooks will place fryer oil in separate pan if needed for fried foods (may take 40min for food or if busy may not be possible) or can use dedicated GF fryer. NO ILLNESS noted. Dedicated server brought out GF food separate to prevent cross-contamination.

We had reservations for 4 people and were seated after only a short wait. The restaurant was pretty crowded, so if you have any Covid concerns, this may not be the best restaurant choice in Estes park.
Our server was very good; she was friendly, answered all of our questions about dietary concerns, and provided the right amount of attention without being intrusive.
This restaurant has a very good wine selection with a number of European and North American choices at a wide range of prices. We ordered an Italian Sangiovese that was excellent for the $37 a bottle price. We ordered another half bottle and enjoyed every sip!
My partner had the Colorado lamb T-bone, and I had the Frontier trout, and the others ordered Buffalo burgers. The lamb was a little rarer than his medium request, but was tender and delicious. The trout dish was very good, but the garlic overwhelmed the flavors of the fish; the trout was cooked perfectly. Both burgers were great.
We've found that meats in this part of Colorado are served rarer than in other parts of the country, so our recommendation is to order meat more cooked than what you want. For example, if you want your meat medium rare, order it medium
GF is identified on the menu. They offer a GF bun for the burgers, but I didn't try one.

I dined with my family here in December 2019 and was very disappointed. I called ahead, alerted our server, and was assured in both instances that there is a dedicated fryer. While ordering, I was met with rudeness, confusion from our server on several instances.
After speaking with the manager on duty and a follow up email with the owners, I was told they do not have a dedicated fryer, but rather heat up oil separately in a pan to cook gf fries. A totally fine practice - but not well-communicated by host and wait staff.
I would definitely ALWAYS recommend looping management upon your ARRIVAL here to ensure you have a safe meal. The management is awesome, as are many Celiac/gf reviews here. I hope I can return to give it 5 stars. It’s a great menu and a great atmosphere! My dining experience just did not at all reflect the great reviews here, and I spent every minute advocating for my health.
Answered all our questions and we're willing to modify dishes to be gluten free. Much of the menu is gluten-free, and they offer gluten-free buns and pasta for an extra charge.
Fantastic experience. Emailed ahead of time and they suggested letting them know when I made a reservation that I had Celiac. That way everyone knew I had Celiac before I walked in the door. Staff were very knowledgeable and supportive. Food was great, it was a really fun experience, and I didn't get sick.

I got the poutine and had no issues. Delicious!!!!!
DO NOT EAT HERE IF YOU ARE CELIAC!!! Staff claims to be knowledgeable about gluten & cross contamination. But every time I’ve used my NIMA sensor, it’s shown up positive for gluten! The staff didn’t even try to correct the problem...instead the waitress brought me a to-go cup of olives when I showed her the Gluten positive tests. What the heck? Still paid for our entire meal. Called the manager after leaving, because we couldn’t even get the waitress back to our table after she dropped the check.
In conclusion, this place smells delish & is always super busy. So their food is probably amazing. Too bad they don’t cater to any level of gluten-free friendliness. The bummer is that they claim VERY fervently that they are able to make certain things GF. They’re nice as people. But DANGEROUSLY uneducated about gluten & too busy to care to train their staff properly. (Even my salad was glutened. Check NIMA’s reviews page for pics of my positive gluten tests at Bird & Jim’s)
