I love their GF biscuits, especially the egg biscuit sandwich with pimento cheese. Definitely recommend it for a great breakfast spot! Lots of tourists go here but even as a local, I think it’s great for GF.

Loved the gf and vegan biscuits and the jam bar! I got the half breakfast plate, 2 eggs, biscuit and fruit. Wish they had Turkey bacon or sausage but overall was a great find! Sweet staff!

This was recommended and I was so excited to see they offered gf biscuits so I ordered an egg, cheese and bacon biscuit sandwich, however I was disappointed when I tasted them. Biscuits were very dry and very thick. I mostly just ate the inside which was not really anything to write home about. The service was great and the place was super busy so maybe if I hadn’t gotten the biscuit??? I would probably not go back.

This is my second time coming here, and I would honestly make the trip to Asheville solely for Biscuit Head. Most items on the menu can be made gluten free; the biscuits themselves can be made gluten free/vegan. They are moist, not too dense or “cardboard like”. I haven’t been able to find real gluten free biscuits anywhere else. I got the classic sandwich (biscuit with egg/ cheese), and my mom got the country fried ham biscuit with pimento cheese grits. She is NCGS, and I have Celiac. They have a disclaimer about their kitchen not being 100% gluten free, but they take necessary pre-cautions against cross contamination, and I’ve never had an issue with a reaction. They have outdoor seating with a heated tent, a homemade jelly bar, and their staff is super friendly and know exactly how to deal with Celiac orders. I love this place, and as someone with Celiac disease, am so glad I finally found amazing gf biscuits!

This was my dream breakfast, I miss a good biscuit with breakfast so much. The biscuits here were huge. Staff were very knowledgeable about what my options were. Felt very safe eating all the good stuff, was delicious, my husband who is not GF said his was also wonderful.

Great food, but they falsely advertise gluten free food. The only thing that is actually gluten free is the pulled pork and fruit plate. I was told “yeah, there’s always a huge flour dust cloud in the kitchen and it just coats everything.”

Everything was just right for this celiac. Biscuits were perfect, bacon was crispy, ham delicious and jams lovely. So glad we got turned away at Tupelo Honey and visited Biscuit Head instead!
Great find. GF biscuits and gravy. Big win. Will eat here every time we come to town
Tastes amazing but not safe for Celiacs
No
The GF biscuit is more like a scone, a bad scone. It was hard to even slice with a knife. The breakfast meats are fried with other gluten items. The pulled pork and brisket were offered as alternatives. The pulled pork was meh. I'd give it 5 stars for bring knowledgeable about GF safety. One star for how the food tasted.
They’ve changed the gluten free biscuits and they’re not as good (doughy in the middle). But if you want a gf biscuit it’s not bad. Great experience all around
Gluten free biscuits, but nothing like a traditional buttermilk biscuit. Everything had a burnt flavor from the brisket.
Not celiac friendly. They bake GF biscuits along with wheat. Super nice and knowledge able and awesome menu, but I couldn't eat there.

very tasty food, good prices, long line but moves fast. Good options for vegetarians, too
I love this place!! While it's not a certified GF kitchen, I have to say that its one of the more safer options. My husband and I had an extensive conversation with the owners. They do make a hardy go of keeping cross contamination at a minimum but it might happen. I'm celiac with a wheat allergy (EpiPen bad) on top of it. I, myself, didn't have any issues when I've eaten there. Their GF biscuits are the best I have ever had. They are a touch cashie but its well worth it.
if you're calling them to get information, ask if it's celiac safe. Don't just ask if they have a GF menu. The staff is very educated about gluten sensitivity and celiac so ask lots of questions.

The girl taking our order took her time to help ensure everything I ordered was gluten free!! Best gf biscuit I've ever had!!!!!! :)

After talking to them on Facebook, and having them confirm that they did in fact have gluten free items, they told me when I got there "that they are gluten free, but not if it's life or death"and that they aren't really gluten free because they have wheat flour all over everything because "uh, they make biscuits back there".
No
They told me the food is not really gluten free. It's not for celiacs.

Gluten free biscuits are fantastic! Loved all the toppings. Scrambled eggs were okay and bacon was top-notch. Breakfast cost me $8 and was so delicious and very satisfying. I think I'll go here again before we leave town!
I absolutely love Biscuit Head! It is quirky and unique and the staff is incredibly friendly. Several menu items are not GF, but you can order a GF biscuit and load it up with amazing jams and butters! It's SO GOOD!
