New Braunfels Texas location is great no problems. can't say the same for Austin or sunset Valley. they have messed up on just about every order I have placed. which leads to the customer waiting another 20 to 30 minutes for the right order to be made. gluten free pizza. only problem with this place is the people taking your order either don't pay attention or are completely incompetent. including most of the managers. over 50 percent of the time order is wrong even when placed with a manager. all it takes is actually listening to detail to make an order correct. I have even repeated the orders slowly multiple times in detail to manager and order has still been wrong its called a pen or pencil it was invented a long time ago. to help people write thoughts down so they would not forget.

Have been eating here GF since it opened. The staff are friendly and used to the GF menu. Don't know why that GF menu is on paper, separate from the other non-GF one, but ask for it at the reservation stand when you walk in. Love the pizza and/or the Southwest Salad. Got sick in 2012 one time, after figuring out I was served a regular Pizookie. If having the dessert, be sure to ask for the GF Pizookie, which now comes in a different GF pan.

My first pizza and beer in 5 months...although they were Gluten-Free, I thought it was pretty good. Don't expect a deep-dish or even hand-tossed crust. It's pretty thin, but overall the sauce and ingredients were good...though a bit too pricey, which is why I gave it only 4 stars. I wouldn't come here often, because of the price, but if I'm craving pizza and beer, this is my go-to restaurant.

Ashamed to admit that we kind of went just for the dessert! Gluten free dessert in a restaurant is a rare treat. My daughter and I both had gluten free salads (Santa Fe) which were really good and the pizookie was to die for. Neither of us had any issues afterward. The only reason for 4 stars instead of 5 is that service really is pretty slow there. It took a long time to get our food.

This place is great!! The service is fantastic, and the items on their gluten-free menu are delicious! I can tell that the kitchen staff is very knowledgable too, because when my server went to the kitchen to find out if the tortilla chips were 100% corn, she back with the answer of yes, but there could be cross-contamination from the oil they are fried in.

Then when they put the tortilla chips on top that had been in the fryer with other gluten products the cook wanted to just take it off and said it would be just fine but the waitress made them remake it. Upon returning to Baton Rouge after living in Knoxville for 7 years, I was excited to find a brewhouse with a gluten free menu. After arriving, I was dissapointed that the beer was Redbridge in a bottle...they didn't even offer me a glass with it. The waiter knew absolutely nothing about the gluten free menu options and I had to ask twice for a menu. We waited 30 minutes to get our drinks there and my beer wasn't cold. The gluten free pizza was good, but pricey because I had to pay for each topping separately. After dinner, the waiter brought us our check without asking if we wanted dessert, and we had to wait 15 minutes to find him again and tell him. The pizzookie was RAW and disgusting. I couldn't even eat it. They didn't offer any apologies. He brought us the check again and walked away so we never got the coffee that we wanted. We questioned the waiter about this and all he could say was that it was company policy to bring the check out early to keep the people moving. All in all, we were there for 2 1/2 hours with all the waiting-boy that's really keeping them moving! I NEVER write reviews-EVER but this place was the worst. I will never return there again.

My boyfriend picked up the food without checking and I saw the onions all over my chicken. I called back so they could re make my order, the girl put me on hold to get a manger but never picked up the phone. I have to call back five times to get through a manger which took three hours. I am beyond frustrated with this place and will never go back.

My mom and I got the 'gluten free party for two' and it was absolutely delicious!! Our caesar salads came with the croutons mixed in them (even though we were ordering them as part of the gluten free deal). Next time I'll make sure to say "no croutons" just to make sure the waiter understands. The pizza was delicious! I'm new to gluten free, so I wasn't expecting the pizza to taste so good! And the gluten free chocolate chip pazookie was just as good as the originals! My mom was practically licking the pan!

When seeing the ad, we thought there would be tons of options only to discover there was a half page section of their menu book that was gf and almost everything required substitions or ommissins - very disappointed with service and selection. Also nothing mentioned about advertised special - we were charged full price on everything even after showing app. Why pay to be at the top of the ad when you don't train your staff. Another customer sitting next to us seems to be having the same issue.

I've been getting my GF pizzas here for about 18 months. The only problem I have, since I get them to go, is the pizza is over cooked and the crust ends up hard as a rock. I keep asking for them to make it soft but end up with extra crispy. I think the problem is that my husband not GF always get deep dish & they try to keep my hot so its the same temp as the deep dish. It doesn't work so I've decided to go frozen with "Against the Grain" it's perfect & I can have the crust my way. Sorry BJ's!

Besides the long wait for our food, everything was delicious. In fact, BJ’s gluten free pizza was one of the best Kris and I ever had. The salads weren’t outstanding, typical restaurant starter salads. I got the House Salad with Italian dressing while Kris had the Wedge Salad. But the pizza was SO good. Thin crust with melt-y fontina cheese topped with sweet caramelized onions and grilled Portobello mushrooms. Gosh I want some right now! Now for the Pizookie! I personally loved it, but that’s because I have a major sweet tooth, actually Kris calls it an extreme sweet tooth :P hehehe. The Pizookie was a bit overcooked, but I’m not complaining. It was a great deal for the two of us to fill our tummies with some quality gfree pizza.

I think it's great BJ's has a gf menu. Last night, we drove South of SF to watch to the sunset and get some gf takeout from BJ's. I ordered the BBQ Chicken Salad. BJ's was packed. By the time our order was ready I forgot to open it and check everything. When I got home and opened the salad, it was covered in battered fried onions! After removing them, which really wasn't too difficult or damaging to the salad, I was super excited to dive into my gf yumminess! Never happened. The salad tasted so bland, I could bought one from a bad at Traders. While I very much appreciate BJ'S menu efforts, I believe I paid $16 for less than half a grilled chicken breast and a watery combo of lettuce, jicama, corn and mushy tomatoes. Definitely try some other gf menu items and let us know how they taste! :)

We have been to Bj's several times. The gf pizza and capresse salad are wonderful. Most of our visits the manager came to our table to explain how they prepare gf and their efforts to avoid cross contamination. Only once did we encounter an idiot server but we just asked to speak with the manager and everything was fine. My biggest complaint is that I am also wheelchair-bound and it is a real hassle to get to the restrooms. You either have to enter through the take out door or traverse carefully through the crowded bar area.

The sad thing is the BJ's in Modesto at Vintage Faire Mall is fabulous! Their GF pizza is always the best; hot, tasty and the best crust I've ever tasted. Best GF pizza I've ever had! The restaurant offers a whole menu that addresses multiple food allergies and the staff was highly knowledgeable. Went for dinner at the Highland's location in Arlington, TX, to celebrate my birthday. Very poor experience. Not only am I celiac, I'm allergic to casein and soy as well. Difficult, but not impossible. The kitchen made my gf pizza incorrectly and the manager told me (as the rest of the party were being served their meals), that it was being remade and "he would take care of it." it came out finally with no pizza sauce -- just crust and a couple toppings as I cannot have cheese. When I questioned the sauce, the server apologized and brought me a side. Huh?? They offered to make it AGAIN, but really? The gf cookie (w/o ice cream) was mediocre at best. Udi's muffins are greatly superior! They then charged us for my meal AND the free birthday pizookie! Not doing this again. Birthday dinner disaster!

FYI...we were at BJ's Restaurant & Brewery in Colorado Springs, CO today with my family. My kids are NOT gluten-free, but I am due to Celiac disease and my husband is to support me. We went there because we were told they were great supporters of GF patrons. When the waitress came I asked her a ? about an item on the menu and she didn't know..she took the gluten-free menu from me and proceeded to search..then she looks at me and says how about a potato because I really don't know about anything else...I said sure. Then when my husband ordered, off of the GF menu, she interrupted him and said is this an allergy or a preference? Not sure WHY she would ask that but I can say it made us VERY nervous about why she would ask that...is the food that is a "preference" going to be cross contaminated?? I ordered the sirloin...it was bland, no seasoning at all..it was supposed to have onions sauteed on top (per the menu), it didn't...I asked if they had any sauce, that was gluten-free...the man who brought out the food said he would check...he didn't. They promised my sons ketchup...we never received it and we had to ask for silverware. Overall, I was NOT impressed with the restaurant...the gluten free food was BLAND...and over all a poor experience was had by all. Just wanted to let you know...I know they claim support and endorsements by the GiG...but from my experience there are definitely BETTER GF restaurants out there!

They had a semi GF menu when I went in Feb 2012, and a very detailed allergen list. And OMG...the Pizookie dessert is heavenly!

I LOVE their gf pizza!! It is delicious and I have never gotten sick after eating at any bj s locations. I also like that they do have gf beer options! The only downfall is that there are not many gf options :( the gf pazookie is also delicious!!

San Antonio BJ's GF pizza is great! I was reluctant to try them after eating a GF pizza in Cali from BJ's, but this has certainly changed my mind. & finally GF broccoli & cheese soup I can eat! I've ordered several different options from the GF menu & have never been disappointed. Oh & the best part, GF pizookie for my birthday! :)

They have quite a few options for GF. Their pizza isn't bad. Not much cheese, but a good crust. The GF pazookie is the best dessert I've had since going GF. The waiter told us that people who have had both the non-GF AND the GF all say the GF is actually better. It was awesome!

I have celiac disease and I'm currently at a bj's in Carlsbad. There is a mistake on the menu. It says that you can have the seasoned wedge cut fries but NOT the kid's seasoned wedge cut fries. I just asked the waiter and they made a mistake. If you can't have gluten stay away from all of the fries at BJ's. Be careful guys! If I hadn't read every little thing I would have ordered fries and gotten sick.

I am very sensitive to cross contamination and can barely eat out. I have eaten several times at BJ's and have never gotten sick! This is also the best GF pizza I have ever had in a restaurant. Always be sure to clearly communicate your need for GF to the waiter and ask for a GF menu before being seated.

Wonderful to g-free customers!!! They offer g-free beer, cider, pizza, & dessert!!! The g-free menu has the entire menu on the back, in a grid, to list all ingredients from wheat to dairy to MSG!!!! The staff does a wonderful job taking care of you and I will certainly be back!

Great service. A few times we've been there the manager has come over to acknowledge our gluten free order. Pizza is great, so is the grilled chicken potato with veggies. Have them hold Alfredo sauce. If you can eat cheese, their broccoli cheddar soup is great too.

The location in Bakersfield, CA does not have a seperate GF menu! The only GF items on their menu, that they dedicate as GF are flatbread pizzas. The pizza was great, you get to choose awesome toppings. There are only two drinks on the alcohol menu that are GF: Berry Cider which is amazing, and Redbridge GF Beer. Great experience though, the waiters were amazing!
