I have had 2 excellent experiences and one very poor when where I was given food with butter on it after specifying no dairy. Lobster tacos are excellent and already come w corn tortillas. Gluten free menu is pretty extensive. Know the accommodations you need when ordering and don't count on them to know them
be careful. the menu says "gluten friendly" not free. the gf pancakes Are cooked on shared surfaces with shared utensils. they make zero effort to prevent cross contamination beyond using a gf mix.
some items are safe though. ask lots of questions
Good food. I've had good luck here. But I don't get the bread anymore. It costs more and I'm pretty sure it's Udi's. the main reason is that one day my bread came toasted with blackened crumbs, which I assume came from a non-dedicated broiler. I didn't want to chance it.

This place is a favorite in our family... Even before Celiac. But they do have a varied menu of gluten free items (sub GF bread for sandwiches, burgers, grilled cheese, corn tortilla for quesadillas, omelettes, lobster tacos, etc)... But you DEFINITELY have to ask at the counter and even ask for a manager to be safe. Allergen alert on your Ticket!

Always very good food. Not sure about Celiac safe, but the GF bread they use on their sandwiches is really good. Deserts are so so and not GF that I've seen, but they do make a good gelato.
They only have their GF pancakes on the weekends

I love Black Walnuy cafe. The food is always fresh. My favorite meal is the Black Walnut Salad with grilled chicken. I just ask for no garlic bread. The menu is clearly labeled with gf items. On the weekends they serve gf pancakes. This location also has a nice outdoor covered patio.

This place is very careful and the food is awesome! Make sure you say that it is an allergy not a preference and they will mark your order that way so that it is prepared carefully! All the food is so good!

Have gone here two mornings in a row. Most staff are knowledgeable about GF options. Griddle items are not gluten free, and neither are the house potatoes. First morning we went, they put house potatoes on my plate even after mentioning the gluten free requirement. The next day they informed me that the potatoes were not free of contamination and offered me a different side (this explained why my guts were leading a rebellion) so just be aware.

Asked for gluten free menu. Given a menu that listed gluten food in 90% of the items. Selected Texas breakfast figuring it would be safe. After it was served, I asked the waitress if the bread was gluten free. She said it was, but the potatoes and the jam((!) were not. She brought me fruit to replace it. Basically, I’ll never return. It was the worst gf restaurant experience I’ve had.
