I ate there for breakfast one morning and I ordered off the gluten free menu. I told the waitress my specific needs and she said she understood and shed key the kitchen staff know. Well I got cross contamination and not happy. That was the first time going there and the last time too.
We've eaten here a few times now while traveling & im officially done. Time & time again, the staff proves that they are not properly trained to handle orders off the gluten free menu. Had the pleasure of being sick all day yesterday after eating there. What a fun drive back to michigan that was :(
We don't usually go there but their gluten free food is very impressive. They have a special gluten free menu nicely printed out for you. And I still remember he first time we were there, the waiter actually came with gloves on both hands, and the food had a gluten free tag on it:)
Standard Diner. No gluten free bread items, or specialty items, so the same as all standard diners: eggs, meat, fish and you must know how to your food without products that have gluten or wheat. Would not consider this a "gluten free" friendly diner.
Good breakfast! All omelet are gluten free and the potatoes are too. We were able to substitute any bread items with a fruit cup on the kids menu. It was nice to not worry as much about cross contamination and no one got sick. We will eat here again when passing through town.
I was very much impressed with the amount of selection. Normally, a GF menu only consists of limited items. This menu was front AND back! I was one happy camper! As a celiac, it's more than difficult finding the right foods without the consequences. I am happy to report that I did not get sick. Highly recommend!!
Nice GF menu for breakfast (eggs, potatoes, sausage) and other meals. We will return for other meals and look for their restaurants when we travel.
We ordered off the GF menu but the omelet came out with hollandaise sauce. I ate one of the eggs my husband had ordered since it had taken a long time to get our food. Not one person asked how our meal was and every step from entrance to exit took a long time.
They have a GF menu but do not have dedicated GF prep area. Cook was not trained to prevent cross contamination. Our server was more knowledgeable than the cook and really made the effort. Unfortunately all in our party who have wheat intolerance got glutenated for breakfast.
