Soooo disappointed in Boomerjacks! This used to be one of my go-to safe places, but when we walked in last night they had a new menu. The first thing I noticed was that they did not have items marked GF. The super-friendly server told us that they had recently changed their menu and were no longer noting things as GF because they were no longer able to control cross contamination. I asked her to check in the kitchen to see if fries and wings were still being cooked in a dedicated fryers and she came back and said they had changed things around and everything was cross contaminated now. I am appreciative that they were honest and upfront, but still disappointed that we have lost a restaurant that our family loved because it was too much trouble for them to continue to serve safe gluten free items.
No
They have recently changed the menu and there are no longer GF indicators on the menu nor was our server familiar with what was or was not GF. They do still have GF buns and fries, but that is about it.
Happy to see the GF indicators on the menu. There’s not a ton of GF but I sure love the potato skins.
Yes
The menu has gluten free items noted with a little GF. They have gluten free buns available for burgers, and the waitress told me they have a fryer specifically for gluten free items. I had the bacon cheddar burger with no bun and a side of sweet potato fries and I was very pleased with my meal! It’s been hours now and I haven’t gotten sick. Very impressed with the waitress and how knowledgeable she was!

My husband and I eat here a few times a month. I always get the double smash burger with a gluten free bun, and a side salad with honey mustard. I eat their loaded fries a lot too. I have never had a reaction from here. It’s one of my favorites.

Went for my birthday and told server twice GF. Took one bite and knew there was no way the bun was gluten free. Server said she didn't know what the GF bun looked like. Brought out actual GF bun and it was noticably different looking. Called and spoke to manager and didn't feel like either the server nor manager seemed to concerned.

No more gf fries because they used to hand cut them and now they buy frozen which includes a breading according to the manager! I did have the chicken pesto on a gf bun that was very good.

Not at all appropriate for celiacs. In fairness the manager was very forthcoming that they use a shared fryer and there is otherwise (even for most of their other food) a high likelihood of cross-contamination. They don’t even indicate which items are definitely not safe. Basically they have gluten-free buns available. They used to at least try.
