A fun little breakfast chain - We went to the location in Mission Beach. I wasn’t completely convinced the waiter knew what the issues I described were but I took a chance on one of the scrambles. I explained the toast issue and he offered to bring me a plate of tomatoes instead. I didn’t get sick and my mashed potato/egg dish was great!

Great food and a wide variety of GF choices. Potatoes were cooked separately and we told the waiter that my son was celiac/Allergic to Gluten and they cooked this separately. GF breads and pancakes.

It was great finding a GF place to eat breakfast. I got the Cinnamon Raisin French Toast and it tasted great with strawberries and cream. Good portion sizes. They marked it as a gluten allergy on my ticket and seemed knowledgeable.

We had an amazing breakfast! Our waitress was very knowledgeable, immediately adding gluten allergy to our ticket so the kitchen knew. Their in-house made Bloody Mary mix, ketchup and hot sauce are all gluten free. You can sub gluten free pancakes for bread or pancakes, and everything was delicious. The portions are huge and the staff was amazing.

We are on a holiday in Pacific Beach looking for a breakfast place. we find This. Although, the staff are aware of celiac customers, I’ll say the kitchen staff isn’t. I came in asking questions about GF options and waitstaff said,”celiac?, I’ll make sure the kitchen knows”. My order comes out with toast, white bread toast. I question if it’s the GF multigrain. The expeditor goes back to kitchen and come back, “oh yes it’s GF”. I get sick a few hours later. A few days later we come back to try again and can be a bit more limiting in my choices. Again, I tell waitperson of celiac and he understands. Ask about bread and how they toast it. He looked at me and said, in the toaster. Well then i ask how do the cooks treat “special orders? Do the cooks wipe down or use separate utensils?”. Wide eyed blank stare. Although it was a great place for my family, I’ll say they have no safety measures in their kitchen

Breakfast republic was probably my favorite breakfast out of our whole trip! We came twice while on our vacation. The location has validated parking which is a nice perk. The Jurassic pork Benedict was wonderful - the green sauce on the dish was a nice touch. They have a great gluten free menu.

Ordered the French toast based off reviews and they let it sit in the window and was dry and no flavor. I asked the bartender who was our server who was very rude because I wanted to make sure things were GF. I asked if any potatoes were GF and she replied “potatoes are GF” and I asked about the fryer and she goes “oh yeah it’s the same so I guess that matters to you” and then I asked for a side protein (“grilled sausage”) and she said it was GF but I should have trusted my gut as I was sick until the next day.

I had the amazing French toast. I couldn’t believe it was gluten free because of the size, texture and flavor of the bread. Our server assured me it was GF as he also eats gluten free. It was the most amazing French toast I’ve had in more than a decade. Hubs, non GF, had the shrimp and grits which he said was phenomenal. Kiddo ate the regular pancakes and said those were great too! Free 2 hour parking. Busy little joint but friendly folks and great food.

I was looking forward to a wonderful breakfast. I ordered the breakfast Jumbalaya which was delicious and listed as GF. But an hour later had a severe reaction. I had eaten nothing else for over 12 hours. So it could only be the breakfast. Just be warned.

Menu is marked to indicate what’s already gluten free and what can be made gluten free. Two thumbs up for the meatloaf hash and three thumbs up for the gluten free french toast with strawberries!

Delicious, good vibe, good bloody Mary. Gluten free Benedict 😍
The menu looked so exciting with so much marked gluten free. However our server let me know their kitchen “is covered in flour” and the GF bread is toasted in the gluten toaster. I ended up having what she thought was the safest bet, eggs/potatoes/bacon. The restaurant and staff were great and I appreciated the honest information. It would be great for those with a sensitivity not Celiac.

Had gluten free eggs Benedict!

Great breakfast place. I had an omelette with a gf pancake and everything was delicious. Waitstaff was very accommodating.

Server was unsure what was celiac safe or not. Really nice guy but just reiterated that the kitchen just wasn’t safe for celiacs.
I appreciated the transparency but was bummed not to be able to eat.
FYI — served told me the house hot sauce was NOT gluten free and was unsure about ketchup

My daughter’s favorite for breakfast. A lot of GF options including fresh levain sourdough which doesn’t affect me and is always a nice option if you can tolerate it. Service is always good. Wasn’t a fan of the turkey meatloaf hash. But everything else I’ve had is good. A little pricey by average for San Diego I suppose.
