Bubbie's Plant Burgers at Plant Food Lab

I’m so disappointed because I really wanted to support this place. This is the second time I’ve ordered delivery from here — once through their website and once on grubhub. The first time they called to tell me they were all out of GF options. The second time they straight up sent me things that weren’t gluten free. Nothing like having celiac and biting through bread and breaded chicken! Not okay. Maybe dining in is different but I would 1000% recommend NOT ordering from here.

How confident are you that this establishment takes safety precautions against cross-contact?

— Not at all

We ordered online, before we did, we called to ask about their kitchen. They told me they use a dedicated fryer for gluten free items, but due to the size of the kitchen they couldn’t promise zero cross contamination. Any kitchen that isn’t a dedicated gluten free kitchen would say the same thing, but they were incredibly kind when I asked about ingredients (fried chicken is made in house). We got the jalapeño poppers, plain French fries, the sweet garlic fried chicken sandwich, and the Bubbie’s single with the beet patty. All of the food was very good and had large portions. After 12+ hours, I’ve had no reaction to the food.
