Absolutely delicious! Had the Osso Buco aka pork shank (fall off the bone tender) with mashed potatoes and vegetables (no sauce). Waiter verified what meals would be GF appropriate and staff was friendly and knowledgeable. Also have GF buns for burgers. Very highly recommend!

This may be on your list but it’s not safe. I had the California BLT. I got sick

We stopped in for dinner last night after finding out our first two choices were closed for the season. Our server knew what Celiac was and had some recommendations of modifications to make a few of the entrees GF, but ultimately I ended up going with the elk burger on the GF bun. The burger came out flagged (and the bun was confirmed to be GF by the server) and was really tasty. As others have said, there's no dedicated fryer but the side salad with balsamic vinaigrette was fine.

The manager/owner was knowledgeable. He told us what could be made gluten free because there is not gluten free menu. Very good food. NO DEDICATED GLUTEN FREE FRIER. Ordered the whisky sirloin steak with no sauce with garlic mashed potatoes and green beans. Unfortunately, my meal came out with a dinner roll and the sauce. I was immediately given a fresh plate and meal that had not been cross contaminated. I did not get sick.

Not many restaurants in Custer but this one has pretty good gf options. Not a specific menu but they have gluten free buns and a dedicated fryer for fries upon request. One appetizer can be made gluten free as well. Staff were very knowledgeable and and helpful in navigating it. Parmesan fries were very good as a celiac who hasn’t had fries at a restaurant in ages!

Gluten free bun and pizza crust. Pizza came out on pan it was cooked on so limits cross contamination
The food is delicious. They offer gluten free buns for their burgers and the walleye is gluten-free. Other various items can be made gluten-free.
I am not the type of person to normally leave a negative review. I call my losses and move on. However, my husband and I have never felt so ashamed. I called the restaurant on Friday, August 4th around 11 AM to inquire about their gluten free items. They are listed on this app as being a restaurant that caters to gluten free. The bartender that answered the phone did state that there are a few items on the menu that are gluten free. Anyone with celiac knows, that can be a salad, a variety of veggies, baked potato, which we always eat. So, being on vacation, I was wondering if they actually have something different to eat, maybe something normal. When I asked if he could tell me which items are gluten free, he told me, "I have a full bar right now and can't help you." I was slightly put off, so we went somewhere else for lunch. However, my husband wanted to try a beer there today. My children and I came in to meet him for a couple of minutes. While he was finishing his drink, we left to go shop. When we left, the same bartender (my husband asked if he was working yesterday afternoon, and he stated yes) said to my husband, "You can't even get a minute for yourself." (Among other comments) The owner was sitting nearby and heard the conversation (which we know was him because he made comments about the establishment making his blood pressure rise). My husband was appalled at the comments and immediately left. Long story short, I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone that has celiac, or any other food allergy. Obviously, we are a nuisance. Head over to Desperado in Hill City. They were amazing and have a wonderful gluten free chili and buffalo burger. Also, for the bartender that made the comments today, family is never a nuisance to us and for you to put your opinion out there, is horrible service, on top of not being able to take a minute to explain a couple of gluten free items on the menu that you stated you have. Don't answer the phone if you don't have the time for polite customer service.
No
Absolutely NOT Celiac safe or friendly. Waitstaff was very rude, would not give us a definitive answer if the food was safe for Celiac or not. Had to ask manager to ask chef if they could cook a simple burger in separate pan with clean utensils - the answer was No. Would recommend for gluten free fad diners only.
No
They only have GF buns and pizza crust. Pizza was not that good.
They have a gluten free bun, but more than that, the waitresses know about cross contamination, celiacs, and gluten free options and were able to recommend the bull chips as a side since they have a dedicated frier. Plus the food is good.

YUMMY!! Had cheeseburger with a GF BUN!!!! Kid friendly, great service.

Don't bother. Terrible service and cold food. Didn't seem to understand the importance of gluten-free. Very disappointing.

The hostess assured me that there were some GF options and that the kitchen prepared those foods separately. The waitress confirmed the same. I had a buffalo burger with GF bun. Good food.
