Great old school BBQ place. They have a laminated sheet of all the gluten free food, which includes most things on the menu. I would not recommend the fries, they were overcooked and the oil needs changed out. Instead, try the loaded baked potato salad.

This place is SO GOOD! The meats are all GF and most of the sides are too. One sauce is not GF. They have a dedicated fryer for the fries and they are amazing! The people there were so nice and knowledgeable. Loved it!

We came to this restaurant after I found it on this app and read the reviews. When we came in, I wasn’t sure we were in the right place because the menus I could see did not say anything about anything being gluten free. But when I asked, they showed me a list of what was gluten free. As others said most of the food is gluten free - all their meats and most of the sides, except for the bread and mac and cheese. Since I couldn’t have the bread, they gave me an extra side. Also, all the sauces, except for the Carolina Mustard, are gluten free, and the fryer is only used for the fries. The cashier and chef were also very nice and helpful. And last, but not least, the food was delicious! Our favorite meats were the ribs and brisket. We’re definitely coming back!

They were very helpful with gluten and dairy allergies. Everything but Mac and cheese, cornbread and one sauce was gluten free. The only sides that are gluten and dairy free are the Carolina Cole slaw and fries. They didn’t have fries when we were there- supplier issue. Shared the 2 meat combo and was plenty of food. The ribs were great! The dry rub was so good that a sauce wasn’t needed. Will definitely be go back. Small dine in area. Mostly take out. They close when meats run out.

Oh my gosh! The meat is SO good. I got the pork with collard greens and hot slaw. They have their GF items listed next to the cashier where you order. They have more GF items than gluten items. The only thing they fry are the fries, so it’s a dedicated fryer.

This was absolutely AMAZING!!!! A must for a celiac. I have been celiac for over 35 years and this was by far one to put on the top of my list to go back too. All the meats are GF fries were ‘outstanding’ in a designated frier and made to perfection!!

Cashier had a separate menu showing gluten free items and was aware of how celiac works stating their fries are made in their own fryer and it’s the only thing they make in a Fryer. We ordered the family dinner and she made sure to have them place non-gluten free items on the side (I went with my aunt who ate those). She was very sweet and knew her stuff!

Delicious pulled pork bbq and sides (I had vinegar Cole slaw, collards and potato salad)! The corn bread contains flour so I could not try it but the other sides I had were yummy!

Delicious bbq! The brisket here is like nothing I’ve had before. The brisket was super thinly sliced and great.
The GF menu is available at the counter and the non-gf Bbq sauces were marked.
I had a bun less sandwich (just meat) which came with 2 sides. My boyfriend had a 1/2 pound of meat with a side.
Only downside was the tap water tasted pretty terrible.

The potato salad is so delicious! I could eat it every day.
Yes
Good and safe BBQ. Basically everything except corn bread, Mac and cheese and one sauce is gluten free. Dedicated fryer for fries. We did take out and asked for no corn bread and then they put some other roll in there so they had to remake it when we picked it up so the girl taking our order clearly didn’t listen when we said I had to be gluten free so no bread. So just be careful. Other than that was great.
Yes
Large GF menu, excellent pulled pork, ribs and chicken. GF fryer and the fries are the best on HH. The place is next to a BP gas station, but the food quality is high.

Excellent and very knowledgeable!
the lady that took order must of been on her period or something... extremely rude and did not care about gluten free. i would go to a different restaurant. it’s also pricy and food wasn’t super good
No
The lady that took our order was very rude when I asked about gf options, over priced, nowhere to sit. I should cost fifty dollars for cheap meat and rude service. Good luck here!
Most of the food was GF...only had to avoid a few items on the menu (buns, cornbread, Mac and cheese and one bbq sauce). Super knowledgeable staff who answered any questions. The food was wonderful and we will definitely be going again!
Food was great and no cc. BBQ sauces were delicious!

Phenomenal BBQ! Excellent fries, fall-off-the-bone ribs, amazing pulled pork and brisket...delicious BBQ sauce. It’ll be difficult to convince my husband to go anywhere else to eat for the rest of the vacation!!

Amazing staff and BBQ! Great find!
This place rocked! I am a celiac, and was on a week long trip to HHI for my 20th anniversary. I was already filled with anxiety because the night before a girl added malt to my shake "to be nice", I soon ascertained, at a joint called Wayback Burgers (STAY...AWAY.) I saw Jesus' garments that evenin. So dedjam sick!! I wanted to choke the lil clueless heffuh out...but I digress. Enter Uber, ultra , heightened anxiety and freak outs before every meal. I found this gem on the app and asked questions about their fryer (which was dedicated to fries only), and about their meats, (which were all gluten free) as well as all the sauces except the mustard one...which...well...it's mustard based, so... *hrmmmph!* 😝No love lost there. Just stay away from Mac and cheese and the bread, and you're golden! My sensitive gut thanks you Bullies!😘

We ordered the family dinner -- 1/2lb each of chicken, pork, brisket. It also included corn bread and mac & cheese...they served them separately. Delicious and no reaction!

Amazing BBQ and budget friendly. As already stated? Make sure to ask for cornbread to be taken off. We had the ribs and it literally fell off the bone. Can't wait to go back. Go early as it can get very crowded.
Really good BBQ, I had the pulled chicken. Fries were delicious and gf which is always nice. Make sure to ask for the cornbread to be taken off.
Amazing BBQ. Great choice for gluten free diners. All sauces are gf except their mustard sauce. Their fries are gf. Just need to avoid buns and cornbread. That being said, the meats are excellent. Our table tried the pulled chicken, pulled pork, brisket, and burnt ends. All are great. We especially liked the Texas sweet, slow burn, and Carolina vinegar sauces. This is a must try in the area and reasonably priced too.
