Update: as of latest visit (4/15) it appears they no longer have a dedicated frier. I think this may be due to the addition of chicken nuggets to their menu. Sadness. And they managed to make my Celiac hubby very sick with just the burger & bun. Very sad. The good news is we found Pure Burger just a few miles away. The burgers are much better, GF sauces, toppings etc are clearly marked on the menu and they will be careful if you ask. *************** Delicious everything. They have GF buns. They are knowledgable about cross contamination. It was my understanding that they *do* have a dedicated frier that only fries are fried in. This does vary from location to location. However, the employees are quite clear that this frier is in close proximity to the onion ring frier & it is theoretically possible for an onion ring or crumbs to fall into the French fry frier. I specifically asked if the two friers shared oil or recirculated oil & was told that they do not. I've eaten at this location twice (most recently 12/14) & was given this exact same answer re: the friers both times. And my super sensitive Celiac hubby has had no reactions from eating here. So we feel reasonably comfortable eating here on the rare occasion that we take the kids to Legoland.
Good knowledge (they ask if it is an allergy or preference) though there is no gluten-free dedicated fryer so fries are off the table if you have Celiac.
Great knowledge of celiac and gluten sensitivity. Also, grass fed beef!
The only reason this isn't 5 stars is there are no gluten free fries. The food is delicious though! I love the gluten free bun. It's very soft, fresh, and delicious. You do have to be careful and specify whether you have a gluten allergy or gluten free preference.
Excellent grass fed burgers!! They have beef turkey, bison and albacore. The gf bun was very good! The staff was educated in what was and wasn't gf. With the mangers help they were able to get dairy free as well. My only complaint was there fries are cooked in the same fryer as there onion rings, and they don't have any GF sides except a small and large salads.
Delicious! Ate here twice in two days and felt awesome after each time. Safe for celiacs! Fries are cooked in same oil as onion rings though so they aren't safe. I got the classic burger both times and they toasted the GF bun mmmm. I also tried the chocolate shake and the rootbeer float and they were both delicious.
I was very impressed with this restaurant! It is rare to see a restaurant operate so seamlessly and efficient such as this particular location does, especially since they were extremely busy even for a Sunday evening!! The food was excellent and I will be going back again besides telling everyone about this wonderful place!!!
I loved the tuna burger with aioli etc on the gluten free bun (which stayed intact)! I'll order it again next time (I'll be back). Wish the fries didn't have cross-contamination. The iced tea was exceptional as well. Next time I may try the Maine root beer float.
The GF burgers are good. They have a dedicated fryer however it is barely separated from the other fryer and crumbs from have onion rings and the occasion onion ring that falls in on accident contaminate it. I eat the Gfree burgers but not the fries anymore! I tried the fries twice and twice I got sick.
This is possibly the best gluten free hamburger I've ever had. They have gluten free buns and a separate gluten free menu. The service is great, the atmosphere is laid back and the waitstaff are knowledgeable and friendly. They will specify to the cook staff if you have an allergy.
Good burger, but would have liked some more gluten free side options
The turkey burger was great. I couldn't believe how fresh the bun was. It didn't taste like a usual GF bun.
The menu inside is not labeled gf but if you look online, they have a gf menu. Staff was knowledgable. I wasn't going to order fries but the waitress said they were gf. I ordered them, had second thoughts bc they were not listed on the website as gf, and then we asked if they were cooked in the same oil as any other foods and we were told that all foods fried are cooked in separate oils (100% peanut oil). They do have veg and vegan options - the quinoa salad was great. My husband had the lounge burger and he said it was really good also. The fries were so good and they were served on a separate plate so we could share (as my husband had a non-gf burger). That was nice of them. You order your food as you do in a fast food restaurant and then you pick a table and you are served. Honestly, service was exceptionally good. The wait staff was very attentive and very nice. Neat little restaurant.
