No dedicated fryer but they do have gf buns and said they would wipe the area down and change gloves.

Went here specifically because of reviews on this app. They were extremely knowledgeable about my celiac. They have a dedicated dryer but the grease can have cross contamination. I had the fries and had no problem but be aware of that. Amazing GF bun - it did not fall apart. Overall, delicious burger and fries. I totally recommend.

FIVE MILLION STARS!!!!! GF burger AND bun!!!!!!
I asked at the front counter if their fries were in a dedicated fryer and was assured, yes they are. I got a burger in a lettuce wrap and fries and was sick all night. Not safe!!!
No
One of the best burgers I have ever had! Didn’t get sick and they promised I wouldn’t. No fries though :(
Yes
Burger was great! Staff was very friendly and helpful.
I have Celiac Disease and I have not had a hamburger in over 10 years! This was delicious. The management is very kind and helpful. Highly recommend.
the burger and bun were great. It would have been 5 stars if there was a dedicated GF fryer.
Yes
Love this place! So glad they opened one on Coronado and I don't have to drive to San Diego anymore. Fries are not truly gf as they are cross fried but I eat a couple and am fine.
Beautiful burgers, and even better, I didn't get sick. Went two times over the course of our trip and loved it both times. The fries are made in the same fryer as the onion rings so I couldn't eat those, but the burger with a gluten free bun was more than enough to fill me up. Great place for the whole family to eat and their sodas are amazing.
Yes
This was the best GF turkey burger I've ever had. Don't have the fries if you are celiac because they are cross-contaminated. However, I had the burger with the gf bun and it was filling enough with no side. So delicious!

I read these reviews before going, and I asked about the gluten free bun prep before ordering. They told me that they are prepared in a separate area, so I assumed their procedures had changed. I got serious cross contamination flu like symptoms within a few hours after. Definitely not celiac safe!
No
Have been to several other Burger Lounge locations where there is clearly a lot of care put into avoidance of cross contamination. This location does not seem to be making this a priority. When asked about if GF buns or other burger components are toasted in a separate area the staff seemed uncertain and told me that they don't have standards that are safe for those with allergies/celiac. I have celiac disease and for me this is too risky.
No
I asked my usual questions about food prep and was assured I could have a safely prepared gluten free burger. When I got the burger my gluten free bun was toasted. An alarm syarted in my mind, so I asked for the manager. Sure enough, it was was toasted with the standard buns. The manager was apologetic and personally prepared me a new burger with an untoasted bun.

They had Gf buns and my burger was delicious, but a lot of cross contamination took place. Not celiac friendly.
No
Very expensive and no option for fried, but a great place to take family and eat a burger :)
They have Udi's buns to go on their already gf burgers. The fries are cooked with the onion rings, so there is cross contamination there.
I loved the tuna burger with aioli etc on the gluten free bun (which stayed intact)! I'll order it again next time (I'll be back). Wish the fries didn't have cross-contamination. The iced tea was exceptional as well. Next time I may try the Maine root beer float.
Yes
The burger was good. Their GF buns don't fall apart, which is great!
The turkey burger was great. I couldn't believe how fresh the bun was. It didn't taste like a usual GF bun.
all patties are cooked on the same flat top, not safe for celiac. the staff did mention how they have a dedicated spot for the gf buns, but still because of the possible cross contamination with the patties i couldn’t get anything. if you don’t have celiac or aren’t very sensitive you should be fine, but otherwise i wouldn’t take the risk.
taste rating is irrelevant as i could not get anything

Love burger lounge especially the paleo /keto burger on lettuce with bacon and more. I can never get a straight answer from this place whether they have a separate fryer so we generally avoid the fries— huge bummer.
Dairy free shakes are awesome. Overall great burgers and they were knowledgeable safety wise except for the fryer.

They have separate toasters and mean well but twice my son experienced cross contamination.

I had a gluten free cheeseburger and the bun was delicious. Very soft and not dry at all. I am definitely going back and recommend it to others
