This is my favorite restaurant to go to when visiting South Carolina. Not only is it owned by someone with celiac, but the staff must pass an exam on allergens/intolerances to be able to take orders and then pass a second exam to be able to serve the food. They offer a gluten free menu with a wide variety of options and also serve gluten free food on a square dish to avoid confusion.
Despite being celiac with oat, tomato, lactose, and sulfite intolerances, I have yet to react to anything on the menu. The food is great, the staff are friendly and understanding, and I wish there were more restaurants as safe as this one.
