Very delicious Gluten free food. Staff is very knowledgeable. Mostly they ask about Gf menu needed or not before seating.

The tiramisu was so good! Haven’t had tiramisu in 14 years!!!

This is the most amazing gluten free food I have ever had, and finally gluten free mozzarella sticks! I have been coming here for about ten years and I have never been disappointed or gotten sick from the food. I highly recommend!

This place is so attentive with making sure everything is made celiac safe! First think they ask you when you walk into the restaurant is if anyone is gluten free in your party! I couldn’t enjoy this place more. OH and the food is delicious

Went here last night, asked for the gluten free menu, it was quite extensive, my veal Marsala was excellent, the dinner comes out with a a little gf flag.

Outstanding!!! I have celiac and when we walked in they asked how many then, “is anyone gluten free?” That was a good sign. Huge gf menu and the food and service were exceptional. Dedicated space for gf as well. Definitely worth going back next time in New York.

Best gluten free restaurant! Didn’t make you feel like you were asking for something special with gluten free. They put little gf toothpick flags on all the food so you felt good knowing it wasn’t mixed up with a regular meal. Btw, the food was also DELICIOUS!!!

All the gluten free food was amazing, steak, mashed potatoes, broccoli, ravioli, and spectacular carrot cake. Everything I got was marked with a “gluten free” on a toothpick in the food. The gluten free menu was the size of the regular menu.

When first looking at the reviews for this restaurant, I was nervous because of some of the Nima sensor reviews some people have left. After doing research, a simple grain of salt can turn a negative gluten reading to a positive... Do your research before writing such a poor review for a great restaurant.

Personally, I am deathly allergic to gluten, so I think my natural gluten alarm would be triggered if the Nima sensors were correct lol. I can tell you from my experience that Cafe Formaggio is one of the most alert and cautious restaurants when it comes to gluten allergies. The waiter noticed that I had a gluten free menu and automatically brought gluten free bread to the table (almost like a cracker, but softer). The menu is very extensive with so many gluten free options for all ages. To add to the confidence of this restaurant, they label your food with a gluten free label. I would HIGHLY recommend this restaurant to both people with and without allergies. Next time I am in town, I will be making a stop at Cafe Formaggio.

WONDERFUL. The food is outstanding and there is a very extensive gluten-free menu. Tons of options. They have a totally separate area of the kitchen to prepare the gluten-free food and the staff is knowledgeable and considerate. Our waiter was sympathetic to my needs and I had a great time eating with peace of mind. I had an appetizer, entree, and dessert with no problems. Highly recommended!

Amazing dinner here last night. Extensive GF menu, attentive and knowledgeable staff. Unbelievable GF selection of desserts. I over indulged!!!

Cafe Formaggio has an extensive gluten free menu and claims to have a dedicated gluten free kitchen. I just tested my gluten free chicken parm from this restaurant with my Nima sensor TWICE and it came back with GLUTEN both times. I'm so disappointed.

Went to cafe formaggio for my daughters birthday as this is my go to restaurant for eating gluten free (celiac disease) because this place is that safe in my opinion. I got the gluten free calamari arrabiata for an app then ordered the gf Penne Madiera and main dish. Finished it up with gf apple pie ala mode. Again, had excellent service from our server Frank and the food was spot on once again.

stay far away. they may have a separate allergy kitchen, but my nima found gluten in my grilled salmon. they also dont pay attention to who orders what. they carry regular food on top of gf food to serve it. they grab your utensils without asking. inhave gotten sick here several times before my nima. complaints get you nowhere. the original chef & owner are at his deli most days so nobody is supervising the rest of the staff. i heard (although i dont know how true it is) the the chef left because of their careless & cavalier attitude towards people getting sick/reporting gluten found in nimas. i also heard they got people sick bynserving regular chicken tenders to kids but they were supposed to be gf. blamed their supplier.

This is the rare establishment with a dedicated GF space in their kitchen. But equally important, the taste and quality of the entrees are top notch. The 3 of us went out of our minds; we don't have any place like this where we live in NJ. The wait staff was extremely attentive, and our dishes were all flagged with "GF" labels. They even had GF flatbread for the table. We noticed that we were not the only GF table, which was a good sign. We would gladly brave the hellacious hour-forty-five drive (including the miserable Belt Parkway) to visit again. As a matter of fact, we are trying to plan that right now! LOVE THIS RESTAURANT!!

Holy cow! This restaurant has a gluten-free menu far bigger than the main menu at most other restaurants....dozens of options! The food was exceptionally good. The staff was very tuned in to celiac issues and was not only helpful but was proactive in their support. You can't get wrong here.

I have eaten here many times before owning the Nima Sensor and never got "glutened". About a year ago I purchased the Nima Sensor and decided to use it at Cafe Formaggio just out of curiosity. I had several meals there that all included appetizers, entree, and, of course, dessert. Cafe Formaggio has continuously tested GLUTEN FREE. Cafe Formaggio NEVER DISAPPOINTS! I am 100% Italian and the food is authentic and delicious and safe. I drive almost 100 miles to come to Cafe Formaggio. This is a perfect restaurant to set the standards for Gluten Free and maybe even franchise.

I love this place! Everything is yummy and SUPER safe. Every GF dish comes out with a bright green label on it and every staff member is over the top prepared to answer questions. Personal favs are mozzarella sticks and penne a la vodka. Love this place! Worth the drive.

We love it here. This restaurant and their staff cater to gluten free eaters. Plates are clearly marked when gluten free and you can get yummy things like fried mozzarella sticks that you cannot get at too many other places. So make a reservation and enjoy!!! Lots of dessert options that are GF too. YUM.

This place is amazing! Great Italian food. A dedicated prep cook and chef, kitchen, utensils etc for GF meals. Huge GF menu and amazing food!

This might be my new favorite restaurant. The waiter was second to none and was able to answer all of my questions. The menu is huge; I have never seen such a large GF menu. Anytime I am in this area, I will be visiting Café Formaggio.
