I never ate at the restaurant but I ate take out from this restaurant multiple times during the week I was in Springfield. The food never made me sick. I was never cross contaminated.

The Bang Bang Salad was the best thing on the menu. The Sausage, Sweet Potato and Pear soup was good the first time I had it and too salty the second time I ordered it. The GF Chocolate Chip Cookie only had two chocolate chips in it. The GF bread was Udi’s and pretty good. The other salads were not as good as Bang Bang.

They had a gluten sensitive cookie on display when we walked in. That is NOT safe for Celiacs because of cross contamination. The one gluten free item they had besides fruit cups was a GF Mac and Cheese. They said it was cooked separate. It was delicious and I did not feel sick afterwards. Great for kids since GF Mac and Cheese is hard to find at restaurants.

I ordered a ham, cheese and avocado sauce sandwich. The waiter assured me it was gluten free, and they used “gluten sensitive” bread. I was suspicious when I noticed the same spatula was used for French toast and the “gluten free” baked eggs. The gluten free chocolate chip cooks were stacked right next to the regular gluten cookies. I tested the sandwich with my Nima Sensor, and it registered that gluten was present. The manger insisted was gluten free. I mentioned it had been probably cross-contaminated, which he insisted hadn’t happened—he changed gloves, wiped the counter etc. He did offer to make something else, but I declined. If you are celiac, buy a Nima Sensor! DO NOT take anyone’s word that a dish is gluten free! Test it and stay healthy!
