I’ve eaten here twice and did not get any gluten. GF items are very limited, but if your party wants to go to Calhoun’s you will be able to eat.
Went and asked to modify a couple items to be gluten free. Waiter was a close friend and warned me that if I ordered any of what I wanted it would be cross contaminated. Ended up with a loaded baked potato and a soda.

Lots of GF options. Server even brought over the entire allergen menu which was super helpful as I have other allergies. It noted any cross contamination and subs that could be made.
Smoked wings and pork sandwich were delish!

The problem is the smoker. Any if the meats made in the smoker are cross contaminated. So there are things labeled gluten free on the menu that should not be eaten by celiacs. Anything cooked on the grill is okay but that limits the menu a lot. I had the BBQ steak. It was good, but the menu selection was disappointing after being told on the phone that more could be made gluten free.

Went here a couple times with mixed answers about what can or can not be made gluten free. Spoke with the manager upon my third visit and she stated, although dishes are marked or suggested on the menu as gluten friendly, what happens in the back is not at all gluten friendly. They do not have a dedicated fryer. They can omit gluten on marked items but they are not free from possible contamination. If you are celiac, like myself, I wouldn’t advise eating here.

Lots of options for gluten free but no dedicated fryer...helpful staff who are willing to ask about ingredients if they don’t know the answer
Vegetables are only true GF menu items

Several sides and entrees are identified as “can be made gluten free”. No separate GF menu. We ask for GF French fries. When our food was delivered, I confirmed with the staff that the french fries were gluten-free. They had the manager come to our table and explained that on this particular weekend (st Patrick’s day/SEC tournament) because of the volume, they did not have a designated fryer for gluten-free items. ?!?!?😬 I ask our server for rice because of what the manager told us. Our server seemed puzzled. She came back with the rice and explain she talk to the chef and was informed that what makes the fries not gluten-free is the seasoning; therefore to make them gluten-free, they omit the seasoning.😬 Apart from the gluten-free issues, the food was subpar. My husband ordered the ribeye which he compared to the quality of a Western Sizzlin steak. And it was lukewarm when it arrived to the table. Very disappointing.

GF designated on menu. Filet excellent. Great service.
Yes
Totally unaware & educated about allergies. They don't have a separate gluten free menu and there are about half a dozen things marked as gluten free, no appetizers or desserts, barely any sides and drinks aren't marked. Our waiter was very kind and tried to be helpful with my order but the kitchen apparently was terrible. My steak was almost raw in the middle and I asked for med. well but the most ridiculous part was I asked for steamed broccoli with no butter because of a dairy allergy and they brought out raw broccoli with butter smeared all over the top, which our waiter and the kitchen didn't catch. Then someone in the kitchen brought out cooked broccoli, apologized, and explained that they "washed the butter off then steamed so it should be totally ok for you now"... gross. There was a bbq sauce thumb print on my plate (nothing I ordered had sauce) that I didn't see until half way through my meal and most of the bottom of my baked potato was covered in some kind of sauce - major cross contamination issue with this and the butter being washed off the broccoli, not to mention just gross. Also both my water and drink glass had good stock to the outside. For those in need of an allergy aware safe place this is not it. However my boyfriend who does not have any allergies said his meal was good.

Very small gluten free menu. No bread, and they seem to fry their bacon so that was off limits for burger toppings. Ended up just risking it and had their naked wings. Yes they were fried. Pretty good though.
Limited gf option but filet was good. My husbands ribs were sub par.
The food here was awesome! Gluten free items are clearly marked and I didn't have to explain my allergy to the waitstaff at all. Our items that we specified as gluten free came out with a wooden allergy marker. Overall amazing dining experience and highly recommend visiting!!

I have celiacs disease, and I let the waitress know and she seemed very knowledgeable about it. I got a burger with a gluten free bun that was very good! I love bread and when they brought out the bread basket before the meal I asked if I could get one of the gluten free buns to have with some butter and they let me do so. Would recommend if looking for a place with gluten free items in the Gatlinburg area!

Gluten free menu items are marked. The waiter was knowledgeable and explained while the bbq sauce has no gluten containing ingredients, it is processed in an external facility that also processed gluten. He explained what gluten feee menu items I could have. Great experience. I had a half chicken, baked potato and Cole slaw. Yum!

Based on the positive reviews and many items marked on the menu as GF we decided to give it a go. Very friendly staff. I decided on the ribs (billed as the “Best Rubs in America”- although very good, not the best I’ve experienced, but I would get again) with a loaded baked potato. I got a half slap and it was a generous portion, very meaty. My husband got the hickory smoked 1/2 chicken with a baked sweet potato so we could share. This too was good, but kind of a scrawny chicken. He thought the sweet potato was possibly the best he’s ever had with just a tad of butter. I did not get sick, but was very full. Would recommend and would return.
