I got sick! We went 3 or 4 times before, no issue. I only ordered the items that are gluten free, marked on menu and separate list. Salad and pizza. Kids liked pizza, not the best I've had. Salad was great. Sick before we left mall, clearly from there. Sad!
CPK is always a good choice - yummy pizza and careful about cross contamination. However, I was disappointed to see that their corn chip "small plate" is no longer listed as GF. Also, at other CPK locations I've been to, the manager brings out my pizza, which has always been an extra reassurance - at this location, the waitress brought it out.
They burnt my first pizza and when try brought out a new one it was cold. Pizza crust is gridy
Excellent menu options! Food was delicious!
Went there today - first time in a long time that a restaurant did not make me feel like a pain in the neck. Very accommodating. Took my allergy seriously. Quite knowledgable about cross contamination. Cautious. Gf pizza was actually really good!!
Screwed up the order 2 times for person with food allergies at our table .... Used to ❤️ This place but haven't been back since!
I love CPK and I was so excited to try their new pizza. I was not disappointed! It was delicious and Celiac friendly!
Our first dining out experience with our 3 yo went very well. Both her and her sister enjoyed the gf pizza. Waitress was somewhat knowledgable, manager knew all the details. Would definitely go back!
Disgusting GF pizza.... And they charge way too much!!! Margherita.....like cardboard.... sent it back.......keep looking people. :-(
Have eaten here three times, each time was a really good experience. Have really good gf pizza too!
Although it sometimes takes a little longer to get your GF order, it is definitely worth it. We go pretty often and my daughter is always happy with her pizza. The managers there are wonderful and always check on you and bring the food when you order GF. Definitely worth a trip to the mall just for this restaurant.
found out last week I have celiac. this is the first restaurant I've eaten at since. staff was very friendly and explained they have selections on the main menu, but are not celiac friendly; for that they have a separate menu with only a few selections of pizza. Manager came by twice to check on me and asked my honest opinion. when I explained I have nothing to compare, he suggested spin pizza which also is suppose to have GF pizza. the pizza was a little burned around he edges, and the manager offered to remake it. honestly, I didn't think it was terrible just different. I would definitely go back. so far I'm not having any issues to think of cross contamination.
We used to go here for their gluten free pizza. My 4 year old is celiac. We went today and they have pulled the GF pizza from the menu pending a review with GIG to make it better. Disappointing. We had to leave since the remaining GF options aren't really friendly for kids - basically salads. It will be good when the pizza is back, but not until then.
We eat here a lot! I have celiac and I have NEVER gotten sick. The service is typically fantastic, the first couple of times we went in the manager came to the table and explained their gluten free procedures for the kitchen and everything. When we order to-go they always have my pizza box sealed with a gluten free sticker. Best gluten-free crust I have ever had.
good pizza shop. gluten free crusts available. they normally skimp on toppings so it's worth 2$ extra to get a normally topped pizza. recommend the bbq chicken pizza. second visit with still no problems
This was a pretty decent place to eat out, but be aware that if you are celiac or gluten intolerant, you will be limited to a pizza menu with only four choices on it. Make sure and all four the special gluten free pizza menu as these are not shown on the regular menu. If you opt to order something other than a pizza, it will be an entree salad and they had four to choose from that sounded pretty good. I ended up with one of the gluten free pizzas and a wedge salad that was enjoyable. Update 12 hours later - here I am in agony from being glutened by eating here. Changing from four to two stars - no clue what caused it, but I can only guess the caution in meal preparation was not there. Wish people realized how sensitive one can be to gluten, but I suppose eating out is always a risk. Maybe better training for staff would drive this home.
The GF pizza was not the greatest. Tasted just like any other GF pizza I could get in the freezer aisle at the grocery store. They burnt it as well and said that's how they normally cook it. My daughter got the non GF cheese pizza and rated it a 4 out of 10. Can't say we would go back.
Terrible California Pizza Kitchen location. No gluten free pizza offered at this location because the kitchen is "too small." There was a tiny note on the menu that I almost didn't notice that stated this, but it was after we had already sat down & we were starving so we stayed anyway. Had to have yet another salad. Slow service too.
First visit ever to a California Pizza Kitchen. I called ahead and spoke to someone just to see if they acted as though they had a clue. The person who answered was very knowledgable. We asked for a gluten free menu when we were being seated. The regular menu did have some salads and such marked as gluten free. I asked our waiter if I needed to speak to the manager and he assured me he understood and could handle it. We had 2 gluten free pizzas. They were delicious and delivered by the manager. They both had gluten free toothpicks things in them to show they were gluten free. They were delicious! My celiac daughter had no issues. We will be back!
My go-to when I am craving pizza! Even my non-celiac daughter prefers the gf pizza over the regular. Let them know you are celiac and they are very careful and manger brings your pizza out separately.
Very good service. Ask for the GF menu and they bring you a menu of the pizzas that are made in their dedicated kitchen. I ordered the Original BBQ Chicken Pizza. The server came out to let us know that the pizza got a little too crispy so they were making us a brand new pizza. When the pizza came out it was personally delivered by the manager on duty. It had the right amount of crispyness and tasted food. My mom and I ate the whole pizza and she's not GF!
I tried the gluten-free pizza, and their crust was the worst gluten-free crust I've ever eaten! It had the consistency of a soggy cracker. I ended up just eating the toppings off of the top. I was very disappointed because I enjoyed California Pizza Kitchen before I was diagnosed with Celiacs.
Gluten Free pizza is good but expensive!!! Individual size pizza (and we had to get 3) starting at $16.00 for plain and up from there. Most places have gluten free pizza for between $10.00-$12.00 for same size. Would go if only option around due to cost.
No gf options. Not the full CPK menu. Hostess Sent me to another restaurant in the airport and they had none either. Otherwise I love this chains full service locations.
My wife is gluten free, we ate here recently and ordered the gluten free crust. The pizza itself was ok, nothing to write home about, but later that night she was really sick. I don't think they have a dedicated oven or toppings for their gluten free pizza. Their crust might be certified gluten free but there is definitely cross contamination. Please beware if you are celiac.
