pizza was delicious but after ordering in another state I cannot confirm what I received was actually gluten free. UPDATE: they served me pizza with gluten. It was confirmed. Strange think is they blamed it on me even though I ordered it gluten free (been gluten free 10+ years as a diagnosed celiac) and when I picked it up I mentioned gluten free again and even had a conversation with cashier about gluten free menu and foods . They assured me that they are trying new gluten free doughs after they told me on first phone call all restaurants nationwide served the same.
I ordered Gluten Free pizza in October but I received a pizza that had gluten. I didn't even know it until I ordered another one. When addressing it I was told that I was the one who made a mistake. Issue is even when I was picking up the pizza I was asked about "free bread" and I asked if that was gluten free like the pizza I was picking up. They need additional training for sure.
No gluten free pizza. Only salads GF. What a let down, we went to Red Robin across the mall. We'll never go back.
Limited to 3 pizza choices that are prepared safely (we have celiac). They can't do kids pizzas GF, so be prepared to pay $16 for a large pizza that your kid eats two slices of. Also irritated that we had to pay for the kids soda (that comes free with kids meal) that we were unable to order from. Pizza is fine, but definitely tastes GF.
We had the GF traditional pizza and pepperoni and they were both delicious. We also got the Italian Chopped Salad which was GF. The waitress was very knowledgeable. Our food was served to us by the manager so that there was no cross contamination while carry out the food. We were very happy and will definitely be back! 👍😃
CPK is usually one of my favorite places to go because it's certified gluten-free, it's tasty and I'm never gotten sick. Until now. Last night I ordered one of the certified gluten-free pizzas off the special gluten-free menu. I had two slices of it and realized there were green onions under the crust on my plate. I instantly knew it was trouble. I hoped for the best assuming maybe just maybe only that green onion happened to touch my plate. I always show symptoms 24 hours after eating bad food and sure enough 24 hours later, im currently sick to my stomach. I can only assume that they did not use safe practices and that they cross contaminated my food. Not going back to this location.
Pizza was good, even by my gluten eating spouse's standards. The service was slow.
Good pizza! They have 4 types of pizza that are prepared in a GIG certified method in a separate area that we were able to see from our table. They had a separate refrigerator and prep area, the cook wore gloves to prepare it, and placed the pizza on a special pan/tray to help protect it from cross-contamination when they insert and remove it from the oven. You can get other toppings on a GF crust, outside of the 4 GIG ones, but those toppings are taken from the regular prep area, so they are subject to cross-contamination. I only ordered fro the GIG certified list (I have celiac disease and I am very sensitive to cross-contamination). I had the BBQ chicken pizza and thought it was very good. Best of all, I did not get sick!
they have gf pizzas.
The manager courteously explained the process: the cooks will wash their hands, handle with gloves, and rice flour is used on all (including non GF) cooking pans to stick them. Food was good; with that said, I won't know whether I've reacted for a few hours. UPDATE: I had a clear and significant reaction a couple hours later.
Some of the best gluten free pizza crust I've ever had!
Super tasty pizza crust. Felt very safe due to their dedicated gf kitchen space. 4 gf certified pizza options. The Crispin cider is also delicious.
There should be an options for 0 stars. No GF options whatsoever.
There are 4 pizzas that are certified gluten free on the menu. There are no other items that are certified gluten free, but some items on the menu are "made without gluten ingredients." I can only vouch for the pizza. I did not get sick from the pizza. The pizza was good fresh from the oven. Good option if you want to eat pizza out, but overall, not super impressed.
Service was excellent but my gluten free pizza was definitely not gluten free. I have never been so sick from gluten since being celiac and am disappointed that a certified place for Celiac's could get it so wrong. Such a shame as the pizza was delicious but they had not taken enough care with cross contamination to ensure it actually was gluten free.
Great pizza for celiac. Wish they made kid sized gluten free options. I have to order my 2 year old a full sized pizza everytime, and the gluten free dough doesn't re-heat well.
I was so excited to have a gf margarita pizza! The dough/crust was terrible and inedible- seriously. Awful experience. Had our order retaken twice! Took one hour to get our food and I was the only one who ordered anything gf. Also everyone's order was made wrong. I will never go to any CPK again. (System will not allow me to leave 0 stars so I had to leave one)
They burnt my first pizza and when try brought out a new one it was cold. Pizza crust is gridy
Hit and miss crust. Sometimes it's over cooked and too crisp. Sometimes the crust is too chewey. Sometimes it's just right. They can't make substitutions on the GF pizza without risking cross contamination. I suspect the pizzas are made elsewhere and frozen.
Extremely knowledgable staff and great food. The only thing that could be improved is that it would be great if there were more vegetarian options than the Margherita pizza, as items can be removed from the pizzas but not added, in order to adhere to the gluten free guidelines. It's great to be able to eat out without worries.
