My 13 year old daughter has celiac disease so I chose Cannova’s for my birthday dinner because of ratings I saw on here and because they advertise a gluten free crust. When we ordered a gluten free pizza the server asked us how allergic our daughter is. I told her she has celiac and that it will cause damage if she gets gluten in her system. The server then told us that the restaurant kitchen is too small to have a separate preparation area and that the crust would still end up with gluten on it and that nothing in the restaurant was safe. So I asked if we could run across the street and get sushi for my daughter to eat so the rest of our party could still have dinner there. She went and asked the manager and then came back and told us we would not be able to bring other food in and went even further to tell us that gluten is in the air and that even having her in the restaurant was exposing her to it. It was almost as if they didn’t want the hassle of having us in there. It was frustrating to say the least. We wound up leaving and going to sushi instead. The whole experience was very frustrating.

We have been coming here for 3 years whenever we come on vacation. The 10 inch gf pizza they cook on a special tray so it’s totally safe. The Cauliflower crust is gluten free but it goes right into the oven so that one isn’t technically celiac safe.
I throw up non stop when I have gluten and have never been sick here.
