Food, atmosphere, service are all excellent. I may have had some cross contamination following my visit. GF menu is limited, but offers interesting choices. if I don't there again without the reaction, I'll upgrade my rating. my family LOVES this place. NOT especially kid friendly. UPDATE: they now have a dedicated fryer for their starter chips and their tanleside guacomole is fantastic! Upgrading them from 3 stars to 4 immediately due to improved awareness of GF needs. Always discuss your choices with server, they can modify many dishes!

Not Celiac friendly- "gluten free" chips are fried in another frier that they dip corn-wheat blend tortillas. Very limited selection if you don't like shrimp. Not concerned with cross contamination, felt like I was bothering staff with my needs. Update: I got the food to-go because of a sneaking suspicion of cross contamination and it was too late to cancel the order. I would rather have the consequences happen at home rather than on the drive home. Sure enough I got sick. NOT SAFE FOR CELIACS.
My all time favorite restaurant. Have eaten here gluten free dozens of times and never gotten sick.
Nice Restaurant. Good Food. Bad for me as a Celiac. I ordered one of the GF options off the menu and asked our waitress, but, in the end I still got sick. In retrospect I guess, I could have asked the waitress more questions. Disappointed.
Great food, knowledgable staff. My wife is very sensitive to gluten and has never had a problem. Been back several times.
Mickey is the owner and head chef. Gives personal care to make sure gf and plenty of options. Gone back several times. Delicious.
The server was very knowledgeable and helpful. They have a dedicated fryer and he said he'd notify the cooks to change their gloves for me. I've been to this restaurant many times over the years, pre and post celiac diagnosis. The service and atmosphere are great, and I love that you can clearly identify the gluten free options right on their regular menu. I had no cross contamination issues and wouldn't hesitate to go back.
Went here for lunch yesterday and got the chicken fajitas and it worked out great. I have celiac. Chips are safe.
I've eaten here twice and had a great experience both times. The staff is knowledgeable about cross contamination and very accommodating. The food is a little more upscale than your standard Mexican, but the prices are still reasonable and the food is great! I could make a meal off the chips and salsa alone. Plus, they have plenty of options to choose from. Highly recommend!
Incredibly knowledgeable, patient, and helpful staff about x contamination from server to chef to manager. Food is outstanding! Fresh and flavorful. Their motto is upscale Mexican but prices are very reasonable. You'll find everything from appetizers to dessert available as GF. They'll even create GF options if you ask.
Items are clearly marked when gf. Ate the chips and cheese dip plus a gluten free chicken dish with corn tortillas. Delicious and no issues :-) went to taco Tuesday last week 10/25/16 and it was sooo delicious and not bad on price. Waitress was knowledgeable and said staff would change pans and gloves. I did not get sick and I had the chips too. I do have celiac.
This restaurant is pretty much overpriced Mexican food that is just ok. The chips and salsa were awesome, but the meal itself was just ok. I got chicken tacos, and the salsa/guacamole topping was fresh and delicious, but the chicken was overcooked and tough. The beans and rice were both so salty that they were inedible, and I like salty food. The servers won't try to prevent cross contamination unless you specify that you really need it.
The staff was not familiar with cross contamination issues (i.e it took me asking 3 staff plus a manager to find out if the chips were fried with the other fried items). They also took no concern when I expressed my food allergies to them. Service was extremely SLOW and food was way over priced.
Our waiter A. J. took time to ask kitchen staff about ingredients so I would not have a reaction. Yes, menu is meat heavy for Celiacs, which sucks for me as CD and a vegetarian, but the 1 vegetarian GF item, avocado and artichoke enchiladas, were o.k. The only GF enchilada sauce is the tomatillo sauce which is really sour. Tried a margarita. Bartender was really on his game and knew the triple sec was not GF. Tried the mango margarita anyway, but was disappointed as it was really bitter without the triple sec. Even the guacamole has too much lime juice making it sour too. I agree with previous posts that it is really expensive for what we get on the GF menu.
Just went here over the weekend and had a great experience! The chips and salsa are so delicious. I don't eat meat, and I usually end up with the same meal at most Mexican restaurants (veggie fajitas). But they have a gf and vegetarian item on their menu and it was amazing! Loved that I could get something different, and that everything on the menu was labeled whether it was gf or not.
Expensive for the amount of gluten free options on the menu. Everything is marked on the menu but the only meat that is gluten free is the chicken. Chips & salsa are gluten free and delicious. I have Celiac Disease and enjoyed the food; just be wary of the cost.
We ordered chicken fajitas to go, we didn't get any cheese or lettuce to put on the fajitas. Also the fajitas weren't cooks like the normal fajita you expect the chicken looked like the kind of chicken you would put on a salad. I didn't get sick but I don't think we will be back, disappointed after the great reviews.

I HIGHLY recommend Cantina Laredo! I have never been treated so well I am not only gluten free but dairy and soy as well. The Manager (Jason) personally came to our table to ask what I was interested in so I told him something with chicken. He personally made my meal they made sure to clean the grill and the sautée pans they would use to make my meal. It was out of this world delicious shrimp stuffed chicken with spinach and tomatillo sauce with a side of asparagus. Also had an amazing waiter named Gavin. If you are in Nashville and looking for Mexican Cantina Laredo is definitely the place to go!!
Chips are safe and they clearly state on the menu what can be made gluten free. They even have a gluten free dessert option (flan) which was delicious.
These guys are on top of their education about Celiac Disease (and other food allergies). I ordered a margarita and tacos (listed as gluten free). I told them I had Celiac. The manager came over to our table to say they cannot 100% cross contamination would my occur but they would do their very best. And then, they were highly concerned about my margarita. Apparently Triple Sec (unless it's Hiram Walker), is NOT gluten free. They said they would feel a lot more comfortable if they could replace it with a guaranteed gluten free liquor. They remade it and have me a new one. The chips are gluten free and I've always enjoyed the tacos. But I am floored by the the lengths the staff has gone to provide excellent service. Not only are they aware of it, but they actually taught me something! And I keep up with stuff. I highly recommend them.
I do not think new staff is trained very well on allergies and there is definitely cross contamination. Yummy, but I got sick.
There's a dedicated fryer for the corn chips, and the menu clearly lists what items can be made gluten free. I got tacos with beans and rice, which came to the table quickly, and was tasty enough. The prices are reasonable.
I had the gluten free menu. told the wait staff three times I had celiacs. they asked me if any of the ingredients in my dish were gluten free or not.... as if I know what's in the sauces? the kitchen procedures for Gfree prep...? perhaps not suprising that I got sick before we even left the restaurant. had heard good things. dissappointing
Staff was super knowledgeable and the manager even over-saw the food prep. Last review was from 2011, they've wised up since. They told me the corn tortillas were fine, but still got a taco salad, super good.
I ate at the one in Terminal B. The menu is marked with a few option to ask your server about if you want GF. Chips are fried in contaminated oil and even the corn tortillas used in several of the GF labeled meals are dipped in same oil to make them soft. Waitress was confused when asked what really was GF for someone with an allergy. Ended up with a mango and chicken salad which was very good but I was disappointed in the lack of genuine GF options.
