We are looking at JMU for our celiac daughter. This place came highly recommended, so we gave it a shot. The service was a little slow to start, but our server explained that someone had called out, and we were totally fine with the delay. Once we explained our food allergies and celiac the server told us what could and could not be prepared safely. Their fryer is cross contaminated and they are super clear about it, so we stayed away from fried items. We have three GF family members: one person had a bacon cheese burger with a gluten free bun and mashed potatoes…and the other two had chicken caprese with a polenta cake that was very enjoyable. We value safety over variety in terms of dining out, and this place totally delivered. Communicative wait staff and kitchen staff makes all the difference. We will definitely be back again.
