Pretty limited options. Great view. I had the tuna tar tar and a pesto Caesar salad. The tuna was supposed to come with blue corn chips but instead it gave me glutino ritz like crackers and it ruined the meal. Stomach a bit upset after eating. We got the grouper special and it was 45$ freaking dollars. (Market Price) Ridiculous.

Nice atmosphere. Mostly Open air restaurant. Got the salmon based on recommendations from other reviews and it was very good. We also shared a smoked shrimp skewers, they were my favorite part of the meal after the crème brûlée! All very good, nice for a special evening out.

Caps on the river does not take reservations. As for parking, you can park, but since they are usually very busy, you more than likely will have to valet. It’s best to get there somewhat early as it’s not uncommon to have an hour or longer wait for a table. You can, however, have a drink or an appetizer on the deck while you’re waiting for your table though, and take some stunning photos of the sunset. The restaurant itself is quite large and they have several tables with different views. To start the evening, we started with the smoked fish trip, which was very flavorful and came with with HF crackers, capers, red onion, and homemade pickles. With our appetizer, we viewed several wines from their extensive wine list. We decided to have the Rombauer Chardonnay which is very buttery. The price was reasonable as well. It’s our favorite. For my entrée, I had the salmon with asparagus and cranberry. My fiancé had the octopus with fingerling potatoes, arugula, and marcona almonds. Both of our entrées were excellent and GF. Specifically, the salmon was cooked perfectly and had a wonderful taste of Honey Dijon and Rosemary. The cranberry was a port reduction. The meal was the perfect portion. Lastly, we had the crème brûlée for dessert, which was excellent. It was paired with sliced strawberries, fresh mint leaves, and blueberries. Overall the service is good. But the bathrooms are half way across the restaurant. Depending on where you are seated, you might have a bit of a walk.

Beautiful location and one of the best meals we’ve ever had. Food was outstanding! Lots of GF options. I had a honey salmon with asparagus. My hubby and I shared dessert (both GF)- creme brûlée and a chocolate ganache cake. It’s a little pricey but so worth it!

Amazing food and soooo many gluten free options! We ordered the cheese board as the gluten free option and it came with gluten free crackers!! Our server went and checked with the kitchen about everything we had questions about. Everything was awesome, we will be back!!
Nice choice of options- had cheese platter with GF crackers, salmon with sweet potato mash and Brussels sprouts and even had creme brûlée for dessert! Waitress was knowledgeable- lovely location on the water.
Most entrees are pretty expensive and there are limited options, but my salmon was very good! There were three dessert options!

Great food and knowledgeable staff. Love the Crab Louie with the GF crackers!
Great gf options. And the best part is that they do have gf crackers but u do have to request them (we seen it in a comment on here and couldn't wait to see if they still had them). They even have a gluten and dairy free chocolate dessert, which was awesome!!!

Great gf options, good service, nice view of the water.
Excellent choice for celiacs, Glutino crackers offered, since no GF bread. New GF menu options. Fresh seafood specialties. Beautiful setting, outside deck & knowledgeable staff; gluten free preference vs. Celiac. Wonderful dessert, large, crust less Key Lime Pie! Very Happy with this choice.
