All sandwiches can be made on crispy fried green plantain instead of bread (delicious!), and they have gluten free breaded fried chicken tenders (also fabulous). They have to-die-for yuca fries that surpass the best French fries I’ve ever had - and they are non-nightshade and low FODMAP for any who have those challenges. There are vegetarian options, yummy gf/df sauces, and cheese can easily be left off on request. They offer four types of gf/df cookies, and my husband is celiac and lactose/casein intolerant and has never gotten sick here. The diverse and omnivorous guests we’ve brought here have loved it, and nobody feels left out or marginalized. Food is fresh and delicious, and staff is humble, helpful, friendly and kind :)
Love the jibaritos , I ask for the garlic cause they don’t add it anymore without asking . The plantain instead of bread is a great GF option
They have just moved to a new location with tables, an outdoor patio dining area and nice decor. Unfortunately they no longer have a dedicated fryer. I am told they fry their empanadas and plantain slices (for jibarito sandwiches) and also their yucca chips in the same fryer. Nevertheless, we celiac's can still have their grilled corn and black bean salad (delicious!) and their new rice bowls in several varieties, as well as many of the main entrées. Too bad about the sandwiches as they are awesome, but there are choices for us.
Yes
Said only salad is gluten free.
Great option for GF! They have a dedicate fryer. Instead of bread, you can have your sandwich on plantains - which are delicious. They also use Boar's Head meat and cheese, which is all GF.
