The staff is reasonably knowledgeable about cross- contamination. There are five or so scoopers that are put in the same tin of water after use, but you can ask if they can wash the scooper before they scoop your ice cream. If the ice cream you want may be contaminated, the staff will get a brand new tub of that ice cream if possible. As for ice cream options, there are many choices that are gluten free such as butter pecan, mint chocolate chip, vanilla, chocolate, cotton candy etc.
