Friendly service, fantastic food leaving your taste buds tingling and your tummy bug and full. Ask for a gf menu. The worse part about this place is the wait to get in. And they don't take reservations.
They have a special GF menu w/several GF pasta selections. I had the GF linguini with little neck white clams. The pasta was firm and tasty. I was completely satisfied with the selection, food and service.
Late lunch at Kirby and was treated so very special. After I placed my order, the manager came over and asked if I would like some pasta with my meal. You bet I would. That was the best pasta dish I ever ate. It was organic rice, potato and soy pasta. Carrabbas on Kirby is the best Carrabbas in the Houston Metro area.
they have gluten free items bit I got sick
I went out to dinner with a few friends and was really surprised by this place. 1. A LOT of GF options. 2. The staff is accommodating, I don't know if they've been briefed on gluten free or not, but they are well informed about how it's made and will write down allergy. 3. The food is yummy! Can I say it's Celiac Friendly? No, I've only tried this place once. But I can say I did not get sick and I enjoyed an evening of good food. Definitely go in cautiously, it is a chain restaurant after all, but just know the staff is ready to help make it the best experience for you.
They have a lot of options; almost all pasta dishes can be made gf . I typically have a skin reaction if I have gluten and did have any reaction. They have a shared kitchen area so make sure to tell them it is for Celiac or an Allergy which everyone seems to understand better. Food was excellent
You can order the momma mandolins soup without noodles for gluten free but every time I have it comes back with noodles. I don't like sending food back but I have . Just simply refuse to go anymore. They add noodles after they put it in the bowl . Just can't follow directions which makes me skeptical about ordering the food anymore
This was our first visit to Carrabba's Candace was our server today She was amazing!!!! Very knowledgeable and double checked EVERYTHING to make sure not only was it safe but that the kitchen knew exactly what needed to be done.... Will be coming back again and again....
This is my favorite restaurant! They have quite a large variety of gf foods listed clearly on their menu. Not that that even matters because I always get the same thing- Chicken Bryan. It's SOOOO delicious. I've never had an issue here at all. Just be sure to let your waiter/waitress know about your allergy. But, honestly I've forgotten to a few times and still haven't had a problem.
Dulless Airport, Terminal BAll the usual GF options the chain has.
Took our 9 year old there tonight for the first time. After numerous verifications that her food was gluten free, she proceeded to eat her meal to be stopped half way through. The staff then advised they gave her regular noodles. We can never go back. The restaurant was very apologetic and kind after but I cannot trust them.
Lots of GF choices! Wanted to try the pasta but I was craving steak, so I had the 6 oz sirloin, garlic mashed potatoes and minestrone soup. All very tasty and no issues at all! Waitress and Manager were both wonderful also. I'll try the pasta next time!! 👍🏻😊
The gf options are visible in the menu. Spaghetti with meatballs was not an option so I ordered spaghetti pomodore. Could choose soup or salad as a side dish. I ordered minestrone vegetable soup. While eating it (!) I discovered meatballs in my soup. The waiter went to check with the kitchen and it turned out they served the wrong soup! They apoligized and immediately replaced it for vegetable soup, but I was scared to eat anything after this mistake. After the soup I got pasta, not spaghetti. I'm done with this place. Do yourself a favour and eat somewhere else.
They have many gf options and take precautions to avoid cross contaminatio, such as preparing the gf pasta in separate water. The new pasta is yummy! they even modified the size and cost for my daughter, so she could order off the kids menu and I could pay a kids menu price. The only reason I have them 4 stars is that they don't have many "kid friendly" options and she is the only one who needs gf. We will definitely return.
I hate giving bad reviews, but if you have celiac I think you need to know about my experience here. I ordered pasta off their gluten free menu. It was delicious (however, it was pretty pricey and my portion was small), but I've never been so sick since I was diagnosed with celiac in 2010. This could not have just been cross-contamination. I couldn't get out of bed for 2 days.
This was the first meal out after being diagnosed with Celiacs. The waitress was helpful, food was very tasty, but it was obviously cross contaminated in the kitchen, as I was very ill about 10 minutes after I finished eating. I reported it to the regional manager...hopefully they'll educate the kitchen staff better.
Lots of gluten free menu items, clearly identified on the menu. No having to ask for a special menu.
The food was DELICIOUS! As someone new to being GF, this was my first dining out experience. I researched the menu beforehand. I had the lettuce wraps, a side salad with house dressing, pollo rosa Maria, and garlic mash...ALL labeled GF. Unfortunately, I'm writing this review from my restroom where I'll seemingly be all night. I was so excited about eating out. Guess I'll stick to making dinner for myself.
Excellent selection of delicious gluten free meals! Staff understands and treats me great each and every time I visit this location. They are the nicest and friendliest employees there! So glad they have Gluten free pasta- it is great to be able to have it! Love this place!
My husband has Celiac and this is one of the few places we eat in Columbia. Even though the salads are supposed to be gluten free, he doesn't eat them, because he gets sick. Nothing else that is marked GF makes him sick. wait staff, kitchen, everyone is very familiar with Celiac. highly recommend this restaurant
Had a great GF meal with my family. Went on a Monday night and enjoyed the special for $13-15 / person. Soup or salad, entree and dessert (some of the fancier ones cost $2 more). Service was quick (ask for Chase as the sever). Found 1 regular noodle in the GF pasta dish. None of the 3 of us who are GF got sick. GF minestrone soup & Gelato were also yummy! Just make you let them know you are GF bc pasta can be made both ways (reg and GF). Other family members who ordered off the regular menu left satisfied. Husband and son enjoyed the soft bread and olive oil dipping sauce.
I ate there on 7-17-2016 and had a bad reaction to the food. I had the chicken Marsala with mash potatoes and the Sicilian chicken soup (gf version). I have eaten here 3 times before with no problems but I always had the prosciutto wrapped pork chops with mash potatoes and broccoli. Just another restaurant I will cross off my list of places that I could eat at. I am very disappointed.
