Many great gf selections! Staff well informed about special gf needs.
Excellent meal! At first the sauce was a bit too thin but the manager was wonderful about fixing it & even making it up to us by reducing the check. He also offered to remake my daughter's so that we would all eat together but we declined. Everyone was very apologetic & helpful!
Sadly, this place is not Celiac safe. I've been to many different locations since Carraba's is my favorite italian restaurant, and this one gives them a bad rep. I made the server aware that I had a "gluten allergy" (celiac). Ordered the chicken bryan with gluten free alfredo, and a side caesar salad with no crutons. She brought our salads out and mine seemed fine. I started to eat, and then I bit into a small piece of a cruton. It definitely caught me off guard because I haven't been served gluten, much less eaten any, since being diagnosed with Celiac Disease. it made me extremely upset knowing I'd end up being very sick later on due to the carelessness of the kitchen staff. The manager apologized but didn't seem sincere. I would have told them to keep my food had my husband not told me I needed to eat. My alfredo ended up being extremely bland, and my chicken was still raw halfway through eating it. I didn't say a word because I was just ready to go. Got the bill and they didn't compensate me for anything. The manager actually came by wanting to know how my entree was and I just said "fine" when I should have just given her a piece of my mind. I will never return to this location. They don't give a damn about gluten intolerant customers, and their food is just not up to par with the rest of the chain. I'd say it definitely needs new management.
Gluten Free menu and now Gluten Free pasta! My advice- bring your own bread and ask the server for your own spice/oil dish.
Order to go from here often. I've only had one occasion where it could've ended poorly and the person bringing my food to my car (to go order) caught it (a piece of regular pasta was mixed in with my gf pasta) and apologized for the wait bc they wanted to remake my entire meal. He saved me totally. Amazing service.
Their gluten free pasta with bolognese sauce is so good! I have always had good luck here and the staff has always seemed very knowledgeable.
Menu labeled well, server knowledgable, and no reaction after eating there. Didn't love my meal (preference not quality issue) but it was good overall.
I ate here tonight and found a strand of normal spaghetti in the middle of my gluten free pasta with bolognese. The manager was very apologetic and seemed to take the issue seriously, but it still happened. The manager assured us they cooked the GF pasta in a separate pot and use separate utensils so he was not sure how it happened. But I am now bracing to get very sick :(
I absolutely love Carraba's. I had never eaten here until I was diagnosed with Celiac, and I am so thankful for them. Their food is always absolutely delicious and they are so cautious about gluten allergies/intolerances. My server was extremely pleasant and sweet. I ordered the chicken bryan with a side of gluten free alfredo and it was omg good. Mouthwatering. The best thing I've had there yet. The rest of the family isn't gluten intolerant, so they ordered things like shrimp alfredo. The shrimp were huge, and they didn't skimp. My husband and mother-in-law both loved their food. I also had a blackberry sangria and it was really good. They take Celiac very seriously here and I love the fact that you can even order alfredo because their sauce is made with rice flour. Will continue to go back!!!
I ordered one of their newer dishes with GF pasta. I also had the GF soup option which was really good and a sweet tea. When my pasta came out, it looked delicious. I mixed it up and took a couple bites and realized it didn't taste right. it was then my waiter came running back saying that they mixed up the pasta and that wasn't GF pasta. They did remake my meal with the GF pasta but that's not going to fix the fact that I ingested some of the regular pasta noodles. They didn't discount my meal or anything for their mix up. Don't think I'm going to risk going back even though they claim to take food allergies/sensitivities seriously. Edit: 05/02/16 I put in a complaint to the Carrabba's website and the owner promptly called me. He's going to figure out where the mix up occurred and find a way to prevent this from occuring again. He's also going to refund my meal back onto my debt card. He's also invited me back to speak directly with him or his assistant about the issue, how to prevent it, and provide a safe meal.
Good food, great service, knowledgeable staff regarding gluten free items. I have dined there three times and had no issues after. I recommend this place to fellow celiacs.
GF options are indicated on their regular menu. Lots of choices! I had the shrimp and scallop linguine in vodka sauce (without the shrimp, since I am allergic). It was not actually served with linguine noodles; they use Casarecce pasta instead. Regardless, the vodka sauce was excellent and I enjoyed the dish. The pasta was served on a different-colored dish to distinguish it from non-GF food. Would definitely eat here again.
Changed the menu fall of 2015, now offering gluten-free pasta that beats out Olive Garden any day. Gluten-free menu available, staff is always helpful. Unfortunately they got rid of the most delicious gluten-free dessert, and now the only option is plain ice cream, so they lost a star
our server was extremely nice and the food was delicious, and there was no cross contamination since I have celiac's that was very important to me
Great selection of GF! Had the Johnny with gf Alfredo side, everything was fabulous! Can't say enough about the chicken Bryan or the perfect sirloin. Side salad wasn't bland and had several fresh small tomatoes and kalamata olives. The staff was friendly and GF knowledgable.
I've eaten at Carrabba's in the past and I'm happy to see that they have added more options for gluten free. Our waiter Drew was very knowledgeable. He has celiac suffers in his family. I will definitely eat at Carrabba's again.
Lots of options. waiter was sensitive to celiac. meal was delicious. probably don't have separate fryers and I'm guessing food can still be easily contaminated, but I got steak and prosciutto wrapped shrimp with side of veggies and had no problems.
So grateful for Carraba's! My experience today was awesome, especially it being my first time here! Our server was very knowledgeable about gluten and Celiac. The menu is clear on what is GF and the options are endless. Any pasta dish that they have can be made into a gluten free dish, since they offer gluten free noodles. Even the alfredo since they thicken their sauce with rice flour! You can also have the caesar salad, hold the crutons. This has easily become my new favorite Italian restaurant.
Several gf options. Our server was very knowledgable and helpful with the gf menu. My son enjoyed chicken soup (no noodles) and chicken Marsala with gf pasta. He is very sensitive and did not have any issues. No gf bread but overall we are very happy with our eating experience. :)
The gluten free options for chicken are fantastic, try the chicken trio with 3 small breasts made different ways with choice of side. They now have gluten free pasta with gluten free alfredo sauce it was fantastic. For an appetizer try the mozzarella caprise, they use fantastic mozzarella which has cream and grape tomatoes, to die for. This is one of the few places with a wonderful variety of gluten free choices not the same old same old. The chicken trio may not be on the menu but if you ask they will make it for you.
There is no dedicated GF menu, but they do mark GF items on the menu. More choices on the on line menu ..not sure why those aren't listed on their main menu too. Zero GF dessert choices (how about a creme brulee?). I get the chicken Rosa Maria, and it is great...the green beans not so much. Very pricey, but they do email coupons. Great lettuce wraps! Not a lot of choices, but what they do have is tasty. No reaction, so I recommend.
Just had very gluten-less experiance for Supercross 2016 at Daytona Speedway. We ate dinner across the street and they have GF items for every corse and offer GF pasta sub. Server was knowledgable. It's been a couple hours and i'm feeling good. Yea!
I really enjoyed my meal. Rebecca, the waitress, was very helpful and made sure the cook knew of my sensitivity to cross contamination.
Menu had multiple choices and everything was clearly marked on the menu. They fully accommodated the children's menu to substitute for gf pasta. My 6 yr old daughter loved it! I'm not celiac but I ordered off the gf menu so she could try more things. I had the gf minestrone which was delicious and the pork tenderloin which was also great. She especially loved the mashed potatoes! I would definitely recommend this place.
