The food was ok, nothing special. I didn't have any problems with anything in my meal but the staff is definitely not well versed in GF and they do not exactly go out of their way to avoid cross contamination, though the waiter did claim the kitchen would clean the grill before cooking my meal.

They were very helpful and good. The owner even came over to make sure everything was ok. She explained how hard they work to avoid crosscontamination. We love the chicken soup and Chicken Bryan. 4/6 of our family is gf and no-one got sick!

We like this place, but . . . My Celiac wife always orders the Chicken Bryan. However, Carrabba's goofed tonight. The Gluten-free menu listed chicken soup. My wife took the first bite of soup and then she noticed lots of pasta floating in the soup. They took it back and brought her fresh soup with no pasta. Some of the staff is well-trained, some not. The manager apologized several times. It's a good place but be vigilant. They don't serve any GF pasta but I was told tonight that you can bring in your own GF pasta and they will cook it for you. (To be really safe, go to Biaggi's instead for GF pasta options and for strict GF kitchen procedures.)

Service was slow. There were items on the gluten free menu that the manager later said didn't exist in their restaurant. My server brought me the wrong salad, which was more dressing than salad. Most of the items on the gf menu are salads and grilled meats. The grilled meats are prepared on the same grill as regular items so you are pretty much guaranteed cross contamination. My side of sauteed spinach was soaked in oil and BURNT garlic, not toasted, burnt. Value is not good, overpriced for what you get.

I've been here many times and find them very professional and understanding when it comes to gluten free foods. I've even brought my own pasta in and they have cleaned a fresh pot and cooked it up for me as they have no gf pasta on their menu. Everything is made fresh to order so it usually takes a bit longer but worth the wait!!!

Late lunch at Kirby and was treated so very special. After I placed my order, the manager came over and asked if I would like some pasta with my meal. You bet I would. That was the best pasta dish I ever ate. It was organic rice, potato and soy pasta. Carrabbas on Kirby is the best Carrabbas in the Houston Metro area.

Carrabba's is always been really good about my orders. I typically do carry out. Some of the veggies have bread crumbs on them and they always make sure to remind me and then offer to just steam some veggies with not topping. Never had a problem and always feel safe getting a GF meal at Carrabba's Crestview Hills Location!

I had my birthday dinner here at the conclusion of my very first month of gluten-free eating. The dedicated gluten-free menu had lots of options, including one dessert, and had clear instructions for the modifications I would need to ask for, though my server seemed to already be quite aware of them. This was the most delicious and flavorful, hassle and anxiety free dinner I've had all month! What a treat! My server even put a candle on my dessert for my birthday. My husband is able to enjoy any menu offerings, and he also enjoyed his dinner. Eating here was a wonderful, pleasurable experience!

We had a great GF dining experience here for lunch. The owner Monty came and reassured us that his kitchen staff is well-trained in GF cooking and described how they change gloves and cooking utensils and bowls to avoid cross-contamination. They also dedicate a section of their grill to GF grilling. After spending several minutes with the owner, we felt confident this meal would be a good one. The GF soup made for a perfect appetizer on a cold October with just a slight spicyness on the back of the throat. Our entrees were the Chicken Bryan and the Chicken Trio with steamed spinach and broccoli. The chicken was perfectly tender and the cheese was so creamy! If we weren't so stuffed, we'd have tried the dessert, which gives us something to look forward to next time! I highly recommend giving this place a try, particularly if you've had a bad experience at other Carraba's. Monty is the new owner as of a year ago and is himself a chef. He takes GF dining seriously and it shows. I suggest speaking with him if you choose to dine here, or ask to speak with Tommy Holland (manager) or TC Largay (kitchen manager).

VERY disappointed. I loved Carrabba's when I ate gluten. Now not so much. Waiter didn't know the gluten free menu at all. Had me confused and that doesn't happen very often. I asked for an Italian salad no croutons (because the menu states to ask to have salads made in a fresh bowl and w/o croutons) and no tomatoes. He assumed I wanted a Caesar because I asked for no croutons. He also didn't know that the chicken on the g-free menu came with two prescribed sides - daily mixed veg and garlic mashed potatoes. My mom - not g-free, but allergic to mushrooms - had mushrooms in her pasta after asking that there be no mushroom

Great Italian food. the first time we visited this location the manager was very willing to talk with us about GF options. He is the reason we go back. The meals are large so we split it and ask for garlic mashed potatoes instead of pasta. I have been glutened once while eating here. We are much more careful now about reminding the waiter what GF means.

Not excited with the GF options. They don't have a GF menu, per se, just an "allergens" list which you can cross reference to the actual menu. Pretty limited choices (although to be fair, you almost expect that at an Italian style restaurant). Had the gluten-free penne pasta in the fettucine alfredo which wasn't bad. Added the shrimp for $4 but only got 4 small shrimp - not a good deal in my book. The food was good but not great. Probably won't be back if I had a choice but good to know they have a couple of options if I'm there with a group.

The staff at Carrabba's was fabulous about working with me! Not only did I need gluten-free, but I'm lactose-intolerant, and our waitress was so sweet and had no problems helping me figure out what I could eat and adapting my order for my needs. I do love that they have a GF menu online, but I had to look at the GF menu on my phone while looking at the physical menu in the restaurant. It was a little inconvenient, but not a deal-breaker. Carrabba's is definitely on my list of "safe" restaurants.

They really know how to do gluten free. The proprietor told me that if I ask to speak with him, we can even get stuff that is off the menu. I highly recommend either their Chicken Bryan or Steak Marsala. With a side of garlic mashed potatoes, it is an overall tasty meal. One minus is that they don't have gluten free pasta, but the options they do offer make up for it.

This was a disappointment. This is an Italian grill and many of the menu items are grilled. The problem is the baste they use has gluten; they don't have a dedecated gluten-free grill, so there's a big chance for cross contamination. You should search for non-grilled items. I had Polla Rosa Maria with salad and garlic mash potatoes. I was disappointed with the meal. I expected more flavor from the lemon sauce. The chicken was over cooked...dry and somewhat tough. There aren't many choices in St Augustine, so this might be a choice for a different place to eat. My wife's nongluten-free meal was lackluster ad well.

Carrabba's has good food & I don't usually get sick. Make sure you confirm with the waiter that they are not going to use the grill baste on your food/cook on the grill since it contains gluten (they can cook it separately for gf entrees - as long as I make sure they do, I don't get sick). They could use a more exciting gf dessert - vanilla ice cream with caramel sauce & nuts is not very exciting. Call ahead seating is recommended - especially on Friday & Saturday nights. This location does different call ahead than the Outback that shares the parking lot in that you can cut off half the wait time with the Carrabba's call ahead but all the wait time at Outback.

They do have options at this restaurant. Most of them are on the grill however and can easily be cross contaminated, as they don't have a dedicated grill. If you're very sensitive I would stay clear but if you don't get too sick, it's got better options and training then most restaurants without a gluten free menu.
