Took forever, food was not very good, waitress brought wrong dish and said what we ordered couldn't be made gluten free despite being on the gluten free menu, cross contamination made me have a bad reaction. Do not go to this location.
Not excited with the GF options. They don't have a GF menu, per se, just an "allergens" list which you can cross reference to the actual menu. Pretty limited choices (although to be fair, you almost expect that at an Italian style restaurant). Had the gluten-free penne pasta in the fettucine alfredo which wasn't bad. Added the shrimp for $4 but only got 4 small shrimp - not a good deal in my book. The food was good but not great. Probably won't be back if I had a choice but good to know they have a couple of options if I'm there with a group.
I had a great experience here. They do not offer gluten free pasta so you are mostly limited to grilled items. The server seemed very knowledgeable about what was gf and made sure my salad was tossed in a fresh bowl. I was told their grill baste is now gluten free.
the only thing gluten free is a salad, why are places claiming to have GF options if all they have are raw vegetables.
Good selection on gluten-free menu. Staff knowledgable. Food was good.
they do have a gluten free menu, but they do not have any gluten free pasta or anything like that. I got sick from choosing things on their gluten free menu because there were still traces of gluten in the food. So now I order a salad here when I come because that is the one thing that is usually safe. Some staff is super knowledgeable, some have no idea and always get gluten free orders wrong. Manager is great and helpful. Gluten free desserts are really awesome!
I was actually impressed with the options :) decent food for a chain.
GF menu with very good options. Wait staff very well in tune with food allergies. Ordered Pork Chop Marsala from menu and mentioned I also have dairy sensitivity, they caught the fact the Marsala contained dairy and adjusted order. Very grateful for this type of attention.
Previously the baste used on all grill items had gluten in it. So you'd have to request no grill baste and have your food next to food with lots of grill baste. Carrabbas now has a GF grill baste(they use rice flour) for all the foods. Making a meal much safer. Good work Carrabbas!!
New Italian restaurant with great selection of gluten free items!!
This is one of the few restraunts I have never had an issue with! We visit this and the Frederick restaurant often (about once a week). I have severe allergies to wheat and have celiacs. Both locations have always been accommodating and professional. If you are looking for great tasting food and a gf safe place to eat I highly recommend this restaurant. They are also kid friend! We bring out daughters with us ages (5-14)!
Lots of options, no problems.
Their menu states: "Many of our meats are cooked on the same grill. We do not have a gluten-free grill. Please see the item modifications below each item that are necessary to make the item gluten free." So why is this restaurant even listed on here? Basically, you can have chicken soup (no noodles) and a salad.
They are always helpful and understanding. My mom and I are both gf and we always bring in our own rolls and they will bring us a separate dipping plate for the oil. A waitress even gave us carrot and celery sticks one time when we forgot our rolls. I don't think that was normal, and it was a slow part of the day.
Ate at the Winter Haven, FL location for the millionth time but first time for lunch. Delicious GF Italian fare where they are careful and knowledgeable for the most part. I did ask if the dressings were GF and he said they all had cheese which gave me pause but everything came out ok and I didn't get sick :)
I came here 3 times, and was very pleased with the service, food, and gluten awareness. On my fourth visit I found a noodle on my plate after I had already eaten half of my food. The manager comped my meal, but as a celiac, it won't make up for the misery I expect tonight and the rest of the week. They claim to take food allergies "very seriously", but this experience leads me to believe otherwise. Again, great food, but maybe think twice if you are a true celiac or very sensitive.
If you have CELIAC DISEASE, as I do, do not eat here! I got really sick from eating a salad with dressing (which was supposed to be GF), Grilled Chicken and Mash Potatoes! ALL SELECTIONS from their Gluten Free Menu! I rated it one star only because I couldn't post this re view without selecting a number! To me Celiac Friendly? NO!
They are very friendly and knowledgable when I had questions. Great GF menu
I hadn't eaten here in years and am always a little nervous when I go back to a place that is now serving gluten free. But I was completely delighted! The server was knowledgeable and everytime they brought a dish out to me they stated, "this is the gluten free salad," this is the gluten free ......." THAT really made me feel more comfortable that I was safe eating the dish. It was absolutely delicious and no issues afterward. Will definitely return!
Nice gluten free menu but everything else lacked. Ordered Tuscan skewers. Meat was mostly gristle had to spit one piece into a napkin and couldn't cut the other. Also, the standard practices of most restaurants were inferior - speed of service, checking on drinks and food, saying goodbye or thank you when leaving.
This was a hit as far as gf chain restaurants go. The W Palm Beach location was excellent with no celiac symptoms after the salad and pork chops. Make sure server is aware and items are prepared the gf way as listed on gf menu. ;)). No gf pasta but probably because gf pasta isn't so good so they don't want to serve it.
