Bleh!! First my husband has celiac disease and was OK after eating at the park all day, however, we HAD to be diligent. The web site info is good for gluten free choices, however, the park employees working at the food stands are CLUELESS! I would highly suggest contacting food services BEFORE your visit for the GF list. Print it off and take it with you. Show it to the employees and ask to speak with a manager as necessary. The employees need better training regarding celiac disease and thankfully this is not our typical theme park experience (Hershey Park, Busch Gardens, Disney and even Kennywood were MUCH better). We had the all day Dining plan and the French fries, cheese dipping sauce and burgers (sans bun) were fine. They also have a pizza place (the Wagon Wheel) towards the back of the park that has a GF pizza. Chickies and Pete's in the park was a fantastic option as they actually knew what gluten free meant and had a listing of GF options (ask at the hostess stand). After ordering the gluten free pizza they tried to give my husband a salad with croutons 😂! Then they were going to take the croutons off of his salad. Ugh! Another employee looked at the menu when my husband asked for the gluten free options available and after looking said, "We don't have gluten free here." As if it was a menu item like pizza. Overall we LOVED the rides and had to be on our A game to keep my husband safe with celiac disease!
