I would be very very weary. I assured by the server that many items could be made gluten free, and that they have GF buns for burgers. I asked specifically if the Shepard’s pie was ok and was assured it was, and that they use corn to thicken the sauce in the dish. It is definitely NOT ok as I’m reacting to what I had. Everything else I had yesterday I made myself with all GF certified and unprocessed ingredients so I’m very certain my reaction is because of eating there.

We stayed overnight at the Water Street Inn (Charlie’s Restaurant snd Pub are the hotel’s dining) in a charming hitoric room with a whirlpool tub. We regret eating breakfast here, though. The server had no idea what GF or Celiac were. So i just ordered orange juice, a fruit cup, and hard-boiled eggs (my husband’s not Celiac and said his house specialty hash was fine). Apparently my order was a terrible inconvenience at breakfast, as we watched two other tables seated, served, and leaving before we got our food. No bad food reaction, but definitely not worth my time (or to feel unsafe).
