They have several items labeled as gluten free but in reality almost nothing on the menu is gluten free. All fried items are fried in the same oil as gluten based items. The breading on the gf items is made of wheat. The sauteed items are all cooked in the same wok. The only items that were safe were sushi. Sushi is low quality and overly fishy.

Good ordering experience - menu items are clearly marked. There is a $1 upcharge per item for making it gluten free, which feels a little excessive. When it came to order pickup though the containers were not marked and all together in one bag, so we had to be careful to make sure we were eating the correct things. I was a little disappointed with the rice noodles, they were all broken up and rather mushy but flavor was good and I appreciate the variety of menu items available gluten free.

I have eaten here many times as a celiac and never had an issue. They listen to you when you tell them it’s a severe allergy. All the food has been delicious & no reactions at all. This will remain NH go to for great sushi and Chinese !!!

I want to cry… My daughter is celiac and just got gluten at Chen Yang Li Restaurant on an item that was marked gluten free. I didn’t notice until she was done that it had imitation crab in it. I assumed it was real crab, since it was marked GF.

What really gets me upset is when I asked the manager about it he said it had so little gluten in it it won’t cause her problems. He was so dismissive. I asked if that’s what he’d say to someone with a peanut allergy, who just ingested peanuts. The owner rolled her eyes at me. Yes, it’s my responsibility to look carefully. And yes I know it’s not a certified gf restaurant. It’s their response that really hurts.

Really wanted to like this place as we live close by. I have given this place too many chances. Either myself or my kids with celiac end up sick. They don’t take gluten free seriously.

Unbelievable variety and quality! If you've missed Chinese food, this is the place. Most dishes can be made GF and the menu is color-coded to show what is (or can be) gluten-free.

I have Celiac’s while my daughter is intolerant to gluten. She had no problems with her gluten-free option. I was sick for days. Good for people with only a gluten intolerance, not for people with Celiac’s.

Celiac beware...ordered moo shu pork and they put pancakes and gluten filled sauce in my take out bag. I called to verify and was assured my food was safe. I got sick, VERY SICK! I called to speak to the lady who had helped me several times and she told me I was wrong. She was incredibly rude and yelled at me. Sad I can never go here again.

Be careful, there seems to be different information on whether fried items are gluten free. I emailed this restaurant around New Year's Eve and they do not fry their food in separate oil.

Huge menu with MANY clearly marked GF options. Like a lot of American Chinese restaurants, the food has lots of sugar and oil, and is probably not the healthiest food in the world, but it tasted good and the options for a GF eater are fantastic.

The food was alright and there's plenty of options but the hostess was extremely rude, no customer service skills. When I arrived home with my take out I opened the bag to find spring rolls and chips in my GF meal. I called to see if they were GF.. They weren't and they were once again rude as can be!

Not happy with gluten free menu. My husband paid $7 for a meal with gluten. My cheapest choice without gluten was over $13. If you like spicy, you're all set. If you don't, like me, your options are limited and quite pricy.

I don't know if all the other reviewers have Celiac Disease, but I do and have gone there twice and gotten sick twice, it has to be cross contamination, because I was only sick for hours, not days.

Great food and every item is marked as GF, can be GF or not GF.

Food is excellent. Some of the best Chinese anywhere. We go here often. Tons of options for celiacs to enjoy Chinese food. Crispy beef is awesome. And Mai Tais of course. Most of the color-coded menu can be made GF if it isn't already.

This restaurant has wonderful food and is very GF friendly. The menu is extensive and clearly lists GF choices. The staff was friendly, helpful and knowledgeable about GF. They even provided a bottle of GF tamari. We ordered fresh summer rolls, Pineapple fried rice, Mango chicken and Fisherman's net. All the dishes were delicious. We will definitely return and we will recommend this restaurant to our friends.

The absolute BEST gluten free Chinese food I've ever had! They can make almost anything on the menu gluten free and it tastes exactly like it's supposed to. Excellent General Tso's chicken. Plus, I have celiac disease and I'm extremely sensitive - I've never gotten sick here once. Highly recommended!!

We've been here 3 times since since I read they had Gluten Free. Have not been disappointed. So many options!

This was some if the best Chinese food I've ever had! It's been close to 6 years since I've been able to go to and order what I want (General Tsao's) and it was AMAZING! The menu is color coded so you know right away what is always GF, can be made GF, and what always will have gluten in it. The atmosphere is very nice and the staff was very friendly. It was so nice to be able to go and have a 'normal' dinner experience with my husband (who loved every bite of his non GF meal too). I highly recommend this and can't wait to go back!

Best food ever! Enormous gluten free menu. Staff was awesome not to cross contaminate, as I'm very sensitive. Everyone there seemed so respectfully educated on allergies. My husband and I go there all the time. We also order take out a lot. They will pretty much make anything you want gluten free and if they can't, they'll tell you.

Waitress was new & didn't seem to know anything about a specific gluten free menu, however, she was very knowledgeable about the regular menu and was able to help me select good options that I was happy with. The food was very tasty, I loved my St Germaine Cocktail and I'll definitely go back. Also: Gluten free soy sauce upon request! (My gluten sensitivity level just FYI is extremely high.)

Four pages of gluten-free options and they said they could make other items on the menu gluten-free as well if asked. Amazing mango chicken, pineapple fried rice, pad thai, gluten-free general gau... This is our favorite gf go to restaurant, hands down

I took a chance on Chen Yang Li while I was visiting the area. The manager assured me that I would have a safe enjoyable meal. I had coconut shrimp which were outstanding, Pork fried rice and boneless spareribs were also good. I would go back again.

This place has an amazing 2 page gluten free menu. The BBQ ribs and coconut shrimp were amazing! Everyone around us were ordering the mango chicken so that seemed like a winner too. Definitely check it out.

Legitimately the BEST Chinese food ever! The pad Thai and pineapple fried rice are my favorite! They have a wide variety of entrees and apps to choose from and are excellent at preventing cross-contamination. The service is excellent as well. They even deliver to my house when I think that it is out of their delivery range. Try it! So fresh and delicious!
