I have had good experiences at a different Chipotle restaurant, with regard to their gluten free protocol. At the other restaurant, the employee who was making my food would wash their hands and change gloves, then take charge of my food the whole way across the food line.
Tonight, when I asked if the burrito bowl was gluten free, the employee, who had been handling a flour tortilla, placed his hand in the salad bowls on the top of the stack. He then walked over to another employee and asked if they were GF. She said that yes, they are; that it's only the flour tortillas that have gluten. I mentioned that he had his hands in the salad bowls, so she walked off and got a fresh one. He changed his gloves then, and worked on my food.
My husband also eats GF, but is not as sensitive as I am to gluten, and told me that between my GF food and his own food, the employee had been handling flour tortillas.
Meanwhile, the first employee had passed my food off to the next employee down the line, instead of walking it all the way through. That employee was handling flour tortillas, and looked about to put his hands in my salad bowl. The employee who had gotten me the fresh salad bowl saw that, and intercepted my food and put on fresh gloves and finished it for me.
As I said before, I have had much better experiences at other Chipotle locations. The employees at this location did not seem to understand their protocol for handling food to keep it gluten free, and seemed unconcerned about the issue. Fortunately there was one helpful employee who was attentive enough to keep my food safe.
Watch them carefully if you eat here.
Very good - server immediately washed her hands and changed her gloves and notified all workers that they could not touch our sons meal as it was a gluten free mandatory meal.
Chipotle does not have a gluten free menu but instead has a list of gluten-containing ingredients to avoid. Cross-contamination is a concern, however, so let the person taking your order know that you are gluten free and if you need them to take the proper precautions.
From their website: "If you avoid gluten, don't eat our flour tortillas. If you are highly sensitive to gluten and would like us to change our gloves, just let us know at the start of your order. You should be aware items containing corn, including corn tortillas (chips, soft corn, and crispy corn tortillas) and corn salsa, may have a small amount of gluten from potentially co-mingling with gluten-containing grains in the field."
Best GF fast food experience so far. They didn’t make me feel weird or like I took too much time. I told them I have a gluten allergy and the line stopped. They changed spoons for what I ordered, wiped down the counter, got out fresh cheese and lettuce, changed gloves, and one person took charge of my order seeing it through to the end of the line. I know there’s still a risk, but I’m thankful for all they did to help me eat with my family.

I was a little concerned when I read it had been two years since the last review, but I went and as soon as I told the server I had celiac, she immediately offered to wipe down the surfaces and change gloves. She did it so cheerfully also!

Lots of gluten free options, good choice for catering, and ability to sort through gluten free options by using their dietary filter online. There are good options available if you're dairy free/vegan as well!

While there’s obviously a chance of cross contamination, the workers here are very nice and accommodating. Everything except for the tortillas is gluten free. I always ask them to change their gloves and this past time a worker felt her glove touch the tortillas after changing them so she immediately changed them again! They never have a problem getting lettuce or cheese from the back which I appreciate! I have not had a reaction here yet and I am very sensitive!

I told the server I was gluten sensitive, and she immediately changed gloves and handled all my food herself.
