I loved this place before Celiac diagnosis. I was told they marinate meat in beer. Not gf friendly! I brought my own chips and had guac. and hot sauce.

The GM was extremely knowledgeable about the processes and cross contamination! Chips at this location are celiac safe, boom boom sauce, and jalapeno ranch as well!

Super poor GF menu choice although they do have a GF menu. No meat options. No chips. My son was served his Gf quesadilla on corn tortillas on top of fries despite being told no fries. They remade it but definitely wouldn’t ever come back or recommend this restaurant for GF or celiacs.

Only gluten free options are oven roasted chicken and possibly a salad. All items are cooked on the same grill and in same oil or prepared on same surfaces, definitely cross contamination.. Waitress was not knowledgeable but manager was but tried to convince our table that sometimes cross contamination can be an issue but in most cases not..
No
No meat at all on gf menu. I ended up eating an appetizer of guacamole and a small side salad for dinner. Left there starving. Will not be back
No
Not many options, use beer on meat

I always get fajitas! If you tell them you need gluten free they will make you corn tortillas separate from other flours!
I love Chuy's. But if you're Celiac or Gluten sensitive, you might as well not even try. They don't take any special precautions and most of their food does not have GF option.
No
No meat on the gf menu. Very few choices. Can't even eat their chips.
Very good. Has a good selection too. They are very cautious about it too. Really make sure that your food is right and gluten free.
Yes

Separate GF menu. I had enchiladas on corn tortillas with one of the safe sauces plus a crunchy taco. It was delicious and staff was knowledgeable.

Fantastic experience at Chuy’s. The manager and majority of the staff were very knowledgeable on what items are gluten free items! Their chips are made in a dedicated fryer. And corn tortillas are gluten free. Staff was so kind to let me know all the gluten free sauces that were options. Their fajita meat is not gluten free. I had the Chicka Chicka Boom Boom enchiladas and they were delicious. No cross contamination and I feel great after my meal. I’m making Chuy’s my permanent Mexican food spot in OKC!

Even though they have a GF menu, they will not guarantee it will actually be GF. All their meat proteins have gluten - from the marinade. The chips are not GF either. Very disappointing.

A classic Tex Mex chain so you can expect the quality to be subpar. The manager was very accommodating and confirmed they had a dedicated fryer for only corn. However, they did have to check on a lot with the previous manager to ensure GF items. I got the chicken flautas with roasted chicken. While my typical reaction of ataxia did not kick in, I did leave feeling somewhat symptomatic: light headed, hot/cold flashes, weak on my feet etc. I think I may have been exposed in some capacity.
Be aware: marinated meat is cooked in beer, queso has gluten, Mexican rice is fried in gluten fryer, and chips are cross contaminated.
