Not good :( I went there and we ended up leaving, because everything is covered in beer, except I think vegetables? So sad, wish they were more inclusive!

Very few gluten-free options. They marinate the fajita meat in beer. The roasted chicken is gluten-free, but I found it very dry. Not my first choice for gluten-free tex-mex!

Just found out our girls have celiacs in March of 2021.
We have had the bean and cheese nachos with shredded chicken and have had ZERO issues with this.
We of course make sure they change gloves though.
But just last weekend, we were at a wedding and were informed by the Chuys Catering team that Gluten Free fajitas are an option as well! They take a little longer to bring out but it can be done! And our girls ate that at the wedding and had NO issues!
Queso is a no go though folks
And the Tyler team of managers are awesome! One went and prepared some fresh corn tortillas on a separate grill to avoid cross contamination.
Chuys has been great for us!

If you’re celiac, you can eat very few food in this restaurant. We had Tacos without meat there. They do have a gluten free menu but they cannot avoid cross-contamination. Comparing the gluten-free menu to their normal menu, we think they could have made much more food gluten-free than what they currently have. It seems that some of their food (like all the meat and sauces) are Packaged food, which contains gluten so they cannot substitute anything.
No
They've obviously changed their menu since the last reviewer was in. The chips cannot be GF and basically you can get a vegetarian taco or vegan taco/enchilada plate. No sauces or rice and food is prepared in a common area so cross contamination is a risk
No
they special baked our tortilla chips, so there would be no cross contamination! lots of gluten free options on their menu
I had a great experience at Chuy’s with their awareness to Celiac disease and their ability to make sure everything was safe for me to eat. The General Manager, Bentley, was awesome and I would highly recommend requesting him to talk to when you go in!!

I loved this place before Celiac diagnosis. I was told they marinate meat in beer. Not gf friendly! I brought my own chips and had guac. and hot sauce.

Called ahead and discussed gf options Was offered a gf menu at host stand. No meat sub guacamole. There aren’t many options to choose from which is why they get a low rating. Service great, atmosphere great. I had to go for food after

Separate GF menu. I had enchiladas on corn tortillas with one of the safe sauces plus a crunchy taco. It was delicious and staff was knowledgeable.

Fantastic experience at Chuy’s. The manager and majority of the staff were very knowledgeable on what items are gluten free items! Their chips are made in a dedicated fryer. And corn tortillas are gluten free. Staff was so kind to let me know all the gluten free sauces that were options. Their fajita meat is not gluten free. I had the Chicka Chicka Boom Boom enchiladas and they were delicious. No cross contamination and I feel great after my meal. I’m making Chuy’s my permanent Mexican food spot in OKC!
