Review of Chuy's

I had the most wonderful, accommodating server and bartender! As soon as I asked if the Chips were corn or flour, he asked if I had a gluten allergy and began checking things for me. I felt so understood and protected. Usually Mexican restaurants are pretty safe for me, but Chuy’s uses a lot of marinades and thickeners that are not gluten free. He was so nice and so helpful, getting me options of nachos made with plain roasted chicken or grilled shrimp, and cheese sauces not made with thickeners. He was wonderful. Even though Chuy’s doesn’t have a ton of gluten free options on the menu, I had an amazing meal of shrimp nachos with great sauces because he was willing to help me. Most appreciated!
