Eat lunch here and spent over $30. The pork ribs were good and the slaw was passable. The brisket was over cooked and dry. The sauce was the worst I have ever had. Vinegar water with not enough hot sauce. The potato salad wasn't edible. The good news is I didn't get sick.

All of the meats are GF and delicious. The baked potato as well as the cold salads are safe. You can’t beat the atmosphere, I sat at the bar and ate. I can’t recommend this place enough. DAMN GOOD BBQ !!!

I haven’t had a problem eating here - I got the brisket, coleslaw and a baked potato. I am very sensitive and did not get sick, and have been here multiple times.

They did not care about a gluten allergy at all and they told me all the sides were gluten free when they were not. I asked him to ask someone since he said “I don’t know what’s gluten free” and he said “I guess.” I am celiac and would not recommend. Also manager did not care that his employee was extremely rude to me.

They’ll tell you over and over - the only things not gluten-free are the mac and cheese and the cobbler desserts. Really? Again, the only things …. Walk up to the meat cutting guy. Tell him what kind of meat you want: brisket (juicy or lean), beef rib(s), pork chop, etc. Your meats are freshly cut (the beef rib was HUGE), wrapped in butcher paper, weighed and labeled, and put on a cafeteria tray. Slide down to the cold items and take what you want (pre-dished in pint or quart sizes - potato salad was good, coleslaw was excellent). Then slide down to the hot items they serve to you. The green beans with bacon were tasty. Then you pay at the end of the line. We went upstairs to eat and there were free baked beans, and thick sliced pickles and onions. Free refills on beverages, at least upstairs.

I stopped in here for some quick BBQ, not wanting to wait in hour long lines at some of the other high profile BBQ places in Austin. There's nothing really in writing that says what is and isn't GF here. I was just going on previous posters and the quick "Yeah" confirmation from the meat cutting guy. I did not have any of the sides, but it seems that the other reviews have been consistent about what you can have. Brisket was great and I didn't get sick. I'd come here again.

Brisket was great and they knew exactly what had gluten in it and what did not. Told me everything was gluten free except for the mac & cheese and cobbler, as a previous poster said. Very informal BBQ restaurant and great food.

Everything except the cobbler and Mac& chxeese are gf. Very little worry about CC. Possibly the best brisket I’ve ever had.

Almost everything they have is gluten free and the brisket is amazing! I had brisket, green beans and grilled corn on the cob and it was all good. Staff seemed familiar with celiac disease and knew how to take appropriate precautions to prevent cross contamination too.
Yes
All gluten free bbq sauce! Lots of sides available in gluten free as well.
Delicious brisket, knowledgeable staff. I ate my brisket over a baked potato— yum!!
I asked if the barbecue sauce they pour over it is gluten free, and he reassured me it was. I had the beef ribs and brisket. Also had a corn on the cob, beans, and a pickle. I didn't have a reaction that day but was pretty bad the next day. I am not 100% sure this place caused it but I have suspicions

The staff was helpful and knowledgeable. The brisket is the best I've had this far in life. So delicious! We also tried the pork chop which is also top notch. Sides were good too. Grilled corn was so tasty. I'm only in Austin for a few days but I might go back... I want more brisket.
Staff is not knowledgable at all about the food.. I got different responses from everyone I asked, but trusted the 1 other review on here that said the food was safe. Definitely feeling sick now.. Not worth the risk, go to another BBQ place that is more aware
