Have tried this restaurant multiple times and have not found anyone with knowledge other than what is listed GF on the menu. I have not felt comfortable enough to try much for fear of cross contamination. What I have had hasn’t been great.

I ordered GF pizza - server told me he preferred the GF over their regular. Food finally came after a very long wait. I started eating then when the server came by to check on us, I asked him to verify that it was gluten free, which he did. Just then another server walked up with the actual GF pizza… he apologized a lot but at that point the damage was done. Not celiac but expect to be feeling awful later. The actual GF pizza crust was not good. He brought me a piece of GF key lime pie and took 25% off of my pizza. I thought he should have taken it off the bill entirely. Beware… and make sure your food comes out with a GF label.

Multiple gluten free options. I had the bison burger on on a gf bun. The gluten free key lime pie was a must to follow-up the entree. It was incredible, and they will ship them to you if you like!

There’s multiple gluten free options and they asked if gluten free is a preference or allergy. For allergies, they told the kitchen staff and had my meal labeled also. Not the mention that it tasted amazing!

Allen was an exceptional waiter. I had a pizza on gf crust with arugula, balsamic glaze, tomatoes and prosciutto. They make the gf crust in house. It was a delicious meal.

Colorful establishment and people at this Tennessee~Virginia border real food joint! I ordered a Philly Cheese steak (with real rib-eye beef) on a toasted gluten free hoagie roll and asked for fried mushrooms and basil Pesto mayo to top it off as well as a side of oven baked sweet potatoes for an upcharge from the freshly made potatoe chips😋. The side was more salty than sweet but my husband and I both enjoyed our Cheese Steak meals (he had the regular version with chips). My only regret was being too full to try their special GF Key lime pie! Great pit stop if you have a little more time to wait than in a not so fresh eatery😉

Lots of GF options, as they could make most sandwiches GF. They have a shared fryer, so the chips were a no go (we substituted other sides from dinner menu). Our server was great and accommodating, but the kitchen messed up our order a couple of times - included the chips with our sandwiches (although we subbed sides) and served our daughter’s sandwich on a regular bun. They fixed everything right away. Food was good. They had a GF key lime pie that was tasty. We didn’t have any issues/reactions.

Definitely not Celiac safe. The menu is not labeled. I asked my waitress multiple times what was gluten free, she said “Most anything!” There was no definite answer. I just ordered and prayed. I knew within a couple of hours I had been glutened. I called and spoke to the manager, he did inform me the margarine contained wheat! I have seizures from Celiacs, which I had the day of due to their lack of knowledge. He offered no sympathy much less compensation for my meal. Definitely will never return and do not recommend.

DELICIOUS food, and they told me that almost anything on the menu can be gluten free! I enjoyed the Philly cheesesteak on a great GF hoagie roll - it was so good that I worried it might not be gluten free, but I felt great afterwards! I did takeout and it was very easy while driving through.

Menu clearly marked. Sandwiches, pizza, tacos, appetizers and dessert! I had a club on a baked Udis French bread, it was fabulous. Gluten free key lime pie made my day! We will definitely frequent when we are in town. Masks required and staff were covid compliant.

They were extremely friendly, the menu was huge with a GF option for almost every item, and the server (Christine) was extremely knowledgeable about GF things. I wanted to try more options than my stomach would allow!
Have eaten here and at JC location many times. I especially like the tamales and the GF pizza options. They place a special marker on the GF pizza which adds another level of assurance that the GF order has been correctly communicated to the kitchen.
Yes
They only have a list of items that are not gluten free. But while talking to the server, she said that some items aren't on the "cannot have list" that should be. Wow. The server even said she didn't trust their gluten free options. So I said what I wanted, asked if it could be made gluten free, and then received a meal with tons of other food that I didn't order. Not eating here again. She did, at least, write gluten free on the ticket. *** UPDATE: I got very sick here. Do not recommend. I will not be trying this location again. :(
No
Not safe for celiacs! No separate prep/cook space. I ordered philly cheese steak with gluten free bun. Was horribly sick. Had to leave work and threw up for hours. When I spoke with restaurant, was told cross contamination is always a possibility.
No
I eat at the JC location pretty often and have not had any issues at this location. I did however in Bristol and threw up for an hour... We get GF pizza from JC Cooties all the time though and I've not had any reactions over the past few years as they've gotten more accustomed to Celiac and cross contamination. Love their pizza!
Yes
amazing, fresh, delicious!!!! everything was wonderful here. We will never not stop when going thru Bristol again!!!! Our celiac daughter was in heaven with so many wonderful choices!!!!

Very friendly and knowledgeable server. Uses Udi's GF bread, buns, and hoagie bread, so had lots of choices for dinner, including sandwiches, burgers, tamales, salads, and soups. Even had GF key lime pie--I didn't try it but it looked delicious in the dessert case. We ate at the restaurant in Bristol and have not tried the Johnson City location.

Friendly, Celiac-aware staff put us at ease. Advised what was safe and showed knowledge of cross-contamination issues. Food was amazing, huge variety of GF options. Such a treat to have a good dinner and not be made to feel like GF requests are a pain. We will be back!

Great tasting food! Wonderful service! Celiac friendly. They understand the danger of cross contamination. Definitely one of my favorite places!!

Awesome burgers and pizza! Never gotten sick here! Smart staff and cool atmosphere.

A lot of gluten free options. I ordered the grilled salmon with salt & pepper and no sauce. It arrived with a spice mix crusted on the top. The server promised it was gluten free. I cut off the spiced areas and didn't eat that part. I was told the green beans were cooked in nothing but water. I took one bite and it was obvious they were flavored with something. I didn't eat any more of them. I got sick later that night. Not a good place for a celiac.

Awesome food and service! I had the Philly Cheesesteak on a GF hoagie roll. I have not had anything this good in years! Definitely worth a try. We will stop by again on our next trip to Tennessee.

Really cool restaurant. Fun atmosphere. Gluten free items are marked on the menu. Eaten here multiple times and no problems. Love the pizzas!
