Order a Pastrami Ruben sandwich. The meat was really good. When I asked for GF bread, the waiter ssk if it was an allergy or preference, which reassured me they were being careful.

I walked in and ordered takeout. The cashier said they can do any sandwich gluten free, and that they treat sandwiches for celiacs like an allergy. The kitchen is pretty open to the seating area and you have a clear view of the prep area from where you stand to wait for your order. It was pretty clear who was making my sandwich, because the person was carefully navigating around gluten: changing gloves frequently, placing the bread on its own parchment covered tray for the toaster, opening the fridges under the counter with her foot and pushing them open with her knee so she didn’t have to touch the handle with her hands, and taking sandwich fillings from the fridge, not from the prep station that was being used for other sandwiches. I was so pleased to see all the precautions. So much so that I didn’t even really mind that they made the wrong sandwich! Lol. It was good even though it wasn’t what I ordered. I was in a hurry so I didn’t realize it wasn’t the right one till I was on the road so I didn’t alert them to the mistake.

Staff very knowledgeable about requirements for gluten intolerance and celiac disease. Kitchen manager has celiacs and the server mentioned they have a separate prep and cooking area for gluten-free food. The gluten free bread they used is *amazeballs* and I ended up buying a loaf from the their little grocery section. Highly recommend the Alabama Brisket Slama’!

Having to edit my review as I went back for a second time and was glutened. Sandwiches are delicious but there’s only so much they can do to avoid cross-contamination. The first time I went they assured me it was prepared in a completely separate part of the kitchen, the second time they said there’s no such place but they do make sure to use a clean and sanitized cutting board, gf bread and when they’re able they get fresh ingredients from the line (otherwise they use the line deli meats and toppings which are severely cc). Not sure what went differently this time but sadly won’t be going back. If you’re just gluten sensitive it’s an awesome spot.

This is a hidden gem in Duluth! The sandwiches were so good! As was the gluten free bread. Staff was super helpful on what was safe. I got the “Kind of a big dill” sandwich. It had dill pickle chips on it too! It was delicious!

I made sure my bread was a gluten-free and the hostess asked if i had a allergy....she then proceeded to have a new sandwhich made for me as she knew the sauce put on was not koschar...In the special instructions you will want to state that it needs to be totally gluten-free. Not sure why they would think somebody wanted the bread if they didn’t need to!! Lol

We have visited two times now, both were wonderful experiences! My kids loved ordering a delicious fresh sandwich, and I loved having a variety of options, each of which was delicious and unique! I also love that they do not make you feel bad at all for requesting gluten free!
Staff is very accommodating and knowledgeable. Sandwiches are amazing.

They asked if it was a gluten allergy or preference. They took precautions and let me know everything they would do and who would be handling my food. The bread was not crumbly, dry, gross bread either. It was so stinking delicious!!

10/2019. This is a fantastic place. Staff was extremely knowledgeable about CELIAC and CC. They make your food in a separate area and no up charge for the GF bread. And my sandwich tasted SOOOO good.

I was told one of the chef's has celiac disease. They have separate prep spaces and equipment. Knowledgeable staff!

My Husband is Celiac. He reacts quickly and very badly from contamination. He had a roast beef sandwich from here without getting sick. They mark your order and take caution in prepartion. There deli meats are gluten free and they use a gluten free bread other than Udis. It was terrific to have another safe place for him to eat out in Duluth.
