All of the entrees can be made gluten free. They push a Celiac button when taking your order, which gave me confidence in their cross contamination protocols. I had a yummy burger & fries and did not get sick. One interesting note - the burger came with two GF pieces of toast rather than a bun, but it was quite tasty and didn’t disintegrate which was a plus.

I have to be gluten free. Staff is very Knowledgeable with people who have certain allergies. Almost everything on the menu ( including the beers) are gluten free.My husband and are members. We love everything we have had. The brisket is to die for. The bravo fries are one of our new favorite. We have tried almost everything on the menu. Never disappointed. Great service also.

Ordered a gf beer, gf poutine, and gf chicken sandwich. Excellent food, knowledgeable server. Server explained the beers are all gluten-removed to under 20 ppm. GF fryer. Most foods can be gf… celiac folks have options here! It’s so nice to feel normal at a restaurant!

Not celiac safe.

They told me all of their beers were gluten free, but they are made with barley… Also the fryer is cross contaminated from wheat in the hush puppies and tempura.

Staff is very knowledgeable of gluten allergies and can accommodate for pretty much anything on the menu. I shared hush puppies, avocado with tostadas, kimchi fries, and had the tacos for dinner. Everything was fantastic! They only serve beer, however my server said they have beer that is gluten removed down to 20ppm. I didn’t want to risk it, however for those with gluten intolerance I think it would be a good option! Great spot if you’re visiting South Bend.

Most menu items can be substituted safely to be gluten free. I had hushpuppies and French fry poutine and did not get sick. Staff is very mindful and knowledgeable about gluten free items. Dining here was the first time I’ve felt “safe” at a restaurant in months. Will definitely be back!

The wait staff was very knowledgeable. She took lots of time going through the menu with us and letting us know what substitutions could be made. My celiac daughter had a burger. They don’t have gf buns and they were out of butter lettuce so they used gf bread instead. Fries were great and they have a dedicated fryer.

I was visiting in Elkhart, IN and looking for a safe place to eat this establishment was only 25 minutes away. So glad I tried it. It was so good that I went twice! Those beef fat fries are to die for!! Had the pad Thai, pork belly Brussel sprouts, and brisket burger with gf bread. The burger could have used some seasoning, but overall the food was de-lish!! This will be my go-to whenever I’m in the area. I even took my Vegan wife and she loved it!

Best gluten free restaurant I have eaten in since going gluten free 5 years ago. Super amazing and knowledgeable staff, favorite place to eat in Indiana. Everything is gluten free on menu, they just don’t label it because people are small minded and would be upset if they knew the bomb ass food they were eating is gluten free. I had a wonderful meal here. The lady at the front desk was very knowledgeable about Celiac Disease and said the basis of the menu is as such that they can prepare almost every dish in a safe way for Celiacs. Then our server (Rebecca?) was equally as knowledgeable and patient with me.

In the end I got a nice cider and the Smoke dish which included brisket, pork and chicken. It was delicious and I didn't get sick :)

I and my husband are both celiac and I am also dairy free. Crooked Ewe has fantastic food, with a creative seasonal menu. The staff is very knowledgeable about food allergies and also their menu. They have a dedicated fryer and extensive dairy free and vegan options.

DO NOT COME HERE IF YOU HAVE A TREE NUT ALLERGY. Most of the menu can be made GF. My only issue is that almost EVERYTHING is smoked in a smoker with tree nuts. This is not listed anywhere on the menu. If I didn’t mention my allergy, I could have died. (This seems like a CC nightmare, so I don’t know they can keep allergens out of other things.)

Great gluten-free menu. The smoke their own meats, and make their own gluten reduced beer. Unfortunately, gluten reduced is still not celiac safe, but they have cider, too. It’s a little pricey, but an all-around cool experience.
