Fabulous food, well-educated on GF cooking and food handling. Communicates menu well. Able to adapt dishes to specific needs.
The good was great. The pasta was perfect.
We moved to NC from NY/NJ 19 years ago. Daniels had always been our favorite for Italian food. They had the BEST most tender calamari that we ever had. Not anymore! We were there a couple of weeks ago and we were very disappointed but thought maybe it was just a bad night. We went back again last night. Not only is it not the best anymore, it's not even good! Very dry and crunchy. But the WORST part of our experience last night was when I asked for bread (I like to have something solid with my wine) and the waitress said "it's against the rules to serve bread while you still have the menus" "the menus are new and we don't want anyone to spill marinara sauce on them" What an INSULT" Two well dressed adults! They even held up our calamari order until we gave up the menus! Don't think we'll be going back again. Daniel can keep his clean menus. Maybe he should worry a little more about the restrooms!
The food was delicious but they must have cooked my gluten-free pasta in the same water with other pasta even though I told them it was an allergy and not a preference, because I got really sick that evening.
