The place has new owners and no gluten free options really. They can do eggs or omelets but potatoes are on shared grill. I didn’t eat here so the ratings are middle of the road because I can’t skip that part.

I visited during phase 2 of Covid, July, 2020, they aren’t doing any GF options for now. It’s not been busy enough.

They aren’t making GF options at this time.

Symptomatic Celiac

Since reviewing this 2 years ago, I believe they have become quite smug and complacent. I used to get the Blueberry Pancakes grilled in a separate pan, but they seem reluctant to do it and I’ve moved on. I’ve given up on convincing them that it is not safe grilling them on the same grill with wheat pancakes. They also no longer have a dedicated toaster. I am OK with ordering an omelette because I assume they fry it in a pan. If you have celiac disease, you may have a problem eating here.

Review 2 years ago:

I generally eat the Eggs, Bacon and Hashbrowns breakfast. See photo. My favorite place for breakfast in Bellingham!

I need to update my review as the restaurant now has bread from a dedicated GF bakery with a dedicated GF toaster. They have changed from using Pamela's Pancake Mix to using a GF pancake mix from Angel's GF Bakery, a new GF bakery in Bellingham.

You must ask them to fry the GF pancakes in a pan, or they will fry them on the grill. They don't seem to understand this is not acceptable. So I don't know if I can say they are really "celiac friendly."

The pancakes and toast are marked as “gluten-freer” on the menu. They are not prepared separately and the spaces are not cleaned between prep. I would advise against eating here if you are celiac.

A lot of the GF mixes here are from GF Angels Bakery. The food was AMAZING and I always try to go here when I'm in the area. Adore this place. Food was so good that I asked the waitress twice if my food was for sure gf, because it tasted so not gf.

I split the kimchi, bacon and rice with a fried egg on top, with furikake. (Nori , sesame and dried Bonita) It was delicious and filling.

We stopped in for late lunch and each got a half omelet or scramble and a Gf pancake with blueberries maple syrup. Fabulous but way too much food, even at half servings. Did I mention the pancakes are 10"? Next time we'll get an order and split. We're gluten intolerant but not celiac, so gluten "free'r" works for us.
