I asked for the gluten free menu and they gave me a sheet of paper that listed the Barbecue Meats that were safe - Texas style beef brisket, sliced beef brisket, honey barbecue ham, tender turkey breast, old recipe sausage, and Spivey cheddar sausage. I don’t eat red meat so that left only turkey. Then it listed the safe Sides - coleslaw, potato salad, green beans with bacon, Caesar salad, chips, and waffle iron fires. The chips were a bag of Lay’s that said gluten free although not certified and they said this location didn’t have the fries.
My server did wash his hands, use a separate tray for my order (separate from my husband’s that contained gluten), and put gloves on. It was presumably safe although also disappointing to have three slabs of pressed turkey and soggy green beans with bacon I tried to avoid.
Note: I have celiac but no immediate reactions so I can’t be sure when I get exposed.

Excellent service. Fantastic food.lots of GF options. There is a separate cutting board area and knives where gf food is prepared for customers. They do ask and offer if change of gloves are needed. No reactions in my son with celiac. I highly recommend and would go again.

The service was excellent. Staff and manager were very accommodating and generous when we asked for celiac friendly options. Food was carefully prepared fresh and away from the other food to avoid cross contamination, and a list of ingredients was provided so we could select GF options for side dishes. Great tasting barbecue. Outstanding experience.

Dickey’s Manager, Jeremy, was extremely helpful and knowledgeable of all food allergies. He gave us an allergen menu which included gluten free options. All meats and some sides are gluten free. Explained that they thoroughly clean a dedicated area of the kitchen to prepare the gluten free items offered. Great food also!!

Most meats are GF, some of the sides as well. When I mentioned that I am gluten sensitive, she changed gloves and utensils. BBQ sauces are GF as well. Appreciate the attention to detail.

Ok, if you look on the paper allergen menu off to the side taped to the wall. They do have everything with wheat listed, but without a big GF next to menu items, it takes a while to read. Teenage girl at checkout did no not to offer me bread. It's ok, but you have to be careful. Not ideal for celiacs.

Although they do have some gluten free options i’m very disappointed to see people saying they have a lot of gluten free options. The only gluten free side they have is fries and those are fried in the same place as gluten items….. Not even all of their meat is gluten free. If you come here please talk to the employees beforehand because they seriously hardly had options for me. This place really shouldn’t be as highly rated as it is. **UPDATE** shortly after consuming my food i had a terrible stomach ache and was in the bathroom all night. If you’re highly sensitive to gluten do not come here, barely any options and the ones they do have will probably make you sick anyways 😢
